************Hurricane Sandy Thread************ vol. BE SAFE!!!

I'm watching this Lettermen episode with no audience and dude is just weird..

Stay safe east coasters

It seems pretty calm in Bedstuy... the wind is still blowing but not nearly as much as it was earlier in the day. Is it over?..

I guess its over, still no power tho. I went to sleep, now I have all this energy and nothing to do

seems like we are getting our biggest wind gusts here. Im about an hour away from Philly.

Few trees down and some flooding by the rivers at the moment

Couldn't imagine being in a hospital and having to be transferred to a different one and being so helpless... Got me real sad thinking of the babies/nicu babies holding onto life with an incubator and having to move them right now... Prayers with everyone on the East Coast

Being a hospital employee, I truly feel horrible for the type of night my fellow therapists/RNs/Doctors had at these hospitals trying to get everyone out safe...I'd lose my mind.

Some of you guys on here are just straight heartless and brainless.

To all my east coast humans, you're in my prayers. Be safe and God bless.

NE DC
Power stilll here

Anyone in the area seeing anything extraordinary?

Not raining or winding right now.

Damn I feel lucky.

Breezy Point Queens had 50 homes burn down, it looked nuts.

Expect subways and buses to be out for a t least a week, power could be out for that long. Water has to be pumped out in all areas, tress removed, etc.

Hpw am I moving tomm? :x

Can someone explain to me the process of getting all of that water removed from NYC?

Is it as simple as waiting for it to evaporate?

Sorry for my ignorance, being serious here.
