Iron Man 3 (Movie Thread)-05/03/13 - New Trailer pg12 - Suits on Suits on Suits

I don't know really know Mandarin but i'm pretty pissed off. :{

Same.

They built up a pretty decent, menacing tone with the Mandarin in the first half of the movie... then turned him into a joke. We don't need to know anything about the comic book version to be pissed at this. It was like they did it for the sake of having a twist, or for the sake of pulling one over on the fans who did know his origins. So unnecessary.

Tony's rant in front of the cameras was so dumb. Guy Pearce sent his helicopter goons and was like eff you. They're lucky Maya's fine self was looking at the tv screen.

Right? .. Dude gave his address but yet he only has the prototype of mark 42 or whatever he calls that new suit :lol
to be fair, with a house like that its a safe bet that everyone in america knows where he lives
Yeah, I was implying that what Tony said antagonized Killian more than anything. I'm sure Tony's house was already programmed in the gps of all their cars and choppers long before. He called them out to get at him and didn't really take the time to prepare for some reason :{.

I feel like if they didnt messed up the Extremis part e.g. Pepper potts killing the main villain or should have Tony injected with the virus then uses it to transfrom into IM ..

It would probably compensate for the Mandarin twist :lol

And please off that Bane comparison .. Bane actually did something like ummm kick batmans *** rather than making threats on TV.
My Bane comparison is in regard to The Mandarin being the cover up to the "real threat" like how Bane was for Miranda Tate. Not in the level of destruction on screen.

I saw this yesterday they deff beat every last cent of iron man thought it was a good movie and actually liked the mandarin flip from a movie stand point it was predictable. To me i knew who the true bad guy was ten minutes into the movie.

Unless they do something amazing with Iron Man in Avengers 2 I dont think there's a chance of another movie especially how this ended unless they have other plans because of the scene after the credits

I know that. My point is there's a difference between working together and working for him/her..

Anybody notice the doctor who saves Tony's life in the first Iron Man was in the beginning of Iron Man 3?
Who didn't notice that.  Rewatched IM and dude said he met Stark at a convention in Berlin tho..

Also. Rep'd the dude who posted the Fire Ant Control pic, thanks for clarifying

the movie made a huge amount of money, off that alone there is no reason why Hollywood wouldnt continue to milk the cow, that is all Hollywood cares about, numbers.

Yes, that is where Tony meets Ho Yinsen for the first time. Yinsin brings this up in the cave in Iron Man 1. The story line is connected bruh.

I have an idea on how the Iron Man series will work out.
If you read Iron Man comics, you would know that in the Extremis series Tony removes the Ark Reactor due to modern technology. The reactor's sole purpose was to create an electro magnetic field capable of holding the shrapnel for long periods of time. The suits themselves are equipped with their own Ark Reactors, as seen in the chest plates of every single suit/drone. Instead of an empty hole like it once was.

Now in the comics, Tony Stark does retire as Iron Man and gives his position to Rhodes. The whole shebang that happened, if I remember correctly, is that Iron Man faked his death, and Rhodes flew from the ashes in his custom suit taking the position of Iron Man.

With the switch up they did making Rhodes the Iron Patriot, instead of Norman Osborne, they still made it similar to the comic story line. Tony retires, and Rhodes keeps working.

I imagine that in Thor 2, which will be setting up the main story along with Winter Soldier, when Thor lets Loki out of prison, he will go rogue once again. Somehow landing Tony Stark in prison, like in the comic. Relying on Pepper Potts and Rhodes to help him escape, where he will then create more suits. Seeing the movie went up to 40 something, compared to the 150 or so armors created overall.

The ending showed that he kept Jarvis and Donnie, while he towed them away. Insisting that he will be using them again in his future lab.

So my thoughts are that there will either be an Iron Man 4, or Avengers 2 will be Iron Man based.

From a casual viewer's point of view, this just wasn't a particularly well-made movie.

The plot wasn't well written, paced, or much of anything. This has nothing to do with how accurate or innaccurate it was to the comics. A lot of the stuff that drove this move forward was either cliche, predictable, or unnecessary.

The only things that made it entertaining were the acting, humor, and some of the action.

Spot on. The director did a terrible job. Hope this really is the last one.

There doesn't need to be another iron man film for a while. The "masses" are already familiar with his stories. We just need him as one of earfs mightiest heroes now

Of course......that was the one time he said they had met(when they talked in the cave) which of course Tony didnt remember anyway.

I remember hearing some stuff about RDJ not wanting to return for an IM4 unless he liked the script. Lol.

what movie did you watch? bane was the "Real threat"

Yeah Bane was the threat.. but how the movie made it seem was that Bane was the kid that got out of the crazy pit, when it was actually the chick. Lol.

Interesting theory...I'm just hoping we get a tease of Guardians of the Galaxy soon. Can't wait to see Burt Macklin in space.
