Is Bruce Jenner Trolling?

Does anyone else feel like Bruce should be forced to give his Olympic medal back?  I mean, he has been quoted as saying he has identified as a woman for most of his life.  He wants everyone to call him a woman because that is what he identifies as.  Well women are not allowed to compete in Men's Olympic events.

Cant have it both ways, Brucey.
What sort of logic is this? He was still 100% male at that time. Transgenders don't magically erase their history before their transition.

He earned that medal as a man.

This isnt my logic.  This is just an argument I have heard many times.  Just throwing it out there.  Not my beliefs, just wanted to hear opinions.  Maybe I didnt explain that opinion well because I have read a decent debate about it.  It wasnt just dismissed like you guys are doing.

I dismissed it cause it's illogical and stupid. Thats like saying someone should lose all of their accolades once they changed professions.

I can tell you how they don't live. They don't live in the old crib, in the hood. Trump couldn't give a damn about your community or anyone living like you. Trump and his father took/take great advantage of people like you, through housing discrimination, leaving workers to dry through bankruptsy, and apparently welcoming non union construction now.

I thought you were somewhat serious with politics but you barely even pay real bills if your still at the tiny crib. Of course you got money to throw around living the life of a kid in his mama's basement. Only diff is there is no finished basement for you to live in there. Welcome to the real world when you want to live as an adult in NYC real estate papi. Trump and republicans are trying to push people like you as far away from the city as possible. They don't like being around people of your community. I was with you on the calling yourself Latino convo but now the evidence to become everything you clearly are not, is racking up. :{ at this dude's political talk and wanting to keep min wage dirt low despite inflation like he got a company. You living hood rich. Fake it till you make it, I suppose.
D A M N..Son kept it all the way real

This sounds like a poor attempt at "stop being insensitive of my insensitivity" and "black people are racist too". Stop being racist against racists b....heard it all before Jim Bob, I've heard it all. My issues with ninjahood don't come from a place of discrimination, I will not stop ninjahood from attending a KKK rally or bleaching his skin, I will let him live.

If Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner insisted on being called a woman but called other transgender women men, I'd call her an imbecile as well.

You don't know Jenner or how she refers to other transgender men...lmao...you just making assumptions....either way is about live and let live...I won't indulge in the race argument here....your stance is ironic as hell....end of story.

He was a man though. You can't change the past even if he did feel like a woman. Even if we did entertain this idea. It's up to the olympics rule book and he didn't cheat.

Olympics is setting the standard as of now.

Transgender atheletes to be allowed to compete as the other sex in the Olympics WITHOUT having gender reassignment surgery

This is crazy.

It's Bull and illogical. 1 year of hormone therapy and that changes all of your body structure and motor skills to that of a woman? My ***. Your skeletal structure and reflexes will remain that of a man no matter what lengths you take. It's absolutely crazy.

from what I understand about this.

1. It pretty much does. if you are on testosterone therapy long enough, (1 year or more), it will decrease musculature and even bone density. at that point physically you are comparable to women

2. Having surgery actually puts you at a disadvantage against not trans women because women get testosterone from their ovaries.

3. reflexes aren't clearly a physical thing, because by all logic, women are smaller, shorter neural pathways should lead to quicker reaction times with women.

a lot of what people call "reflexes" aren't physical but based on experience.

4. "skelatal strucutre" I don't know what this means. what does the structure matter if you don't have the testosterone to put muscle on it?

Its seems like surgery is pretty unnecessary. not a lot of evidence trans people have advantage once they on testosterone blocker.

Trust me fam, you don't have to explain to me. All sense has gone out the window these days.

I have zero issues with transgenders but I don't think this is fair. I doubt one year of hormone therapy is sufficient in evening the playing field.

I'm not a scientist though so who knows.

I have zero issues with transgenders but I ...
What I don't understand these days is the fact that someone has to always state this before saying something not of the same opinion in regards to homosexuals and the like.

An unfortunate side effect of many people's views on such topics being based on bigotry. People tend to go overboard with the bigot calling as a result.

There is evidence.. just not a lot because these are new territories in high level sports.

Lana Lawless, a 58-year-old man, launched a late-in-life career in women’s professional golf, and immediately became the World Champion in Women’s Long Drive competition. One observer remarked: “Guess what Lawless’ distance was at the 2008 Long Drive Championship? Three hundred thirty five yards. That’s nearly 100 yards longer than Paula Creamer’s average. And Lawless complained that taking the hormones had caused her to become weaker. How far did she hit when she was a he? Apparently not long enough to beat the men.

Ms. Lawless has already proven that the Olympic committee is wrong. She has proven with her Long Drive participation that no matter how many hormones she takes, she still is going to have—by birth—more upper body muscle and upper body strength than even the longest hitting women. Even European Tour player Laura Davies doesn’t hit a golf ball 335 yards.”

Robert “Gabrielle” Ludwig, 52, a wealthy 6 foot 6 inch tall Silicon Valley programmer, launched a late-in-life career in women’s basketball at a Junior College. Not only was Ludwig granted a spot based on the old IOC guidelines, but the two-year play-time limit was waived because his transgendering was deemed to somehow erase his past years as a college player. He became “the leading scorer and rebounder, and this team is somewhat built around [him],” says the women’s team coach.

Michelle Dumaresq began his women’s downhill cycling career by entering the Bear Mountain event in the “novice” category six years after he transgendered. He not only won the race, but his finish time beat all the women in the elite professional categories by 2.5 seconds. He went on to become the Canadian National Women’s Champion in 2003, 2004, and 2006, after which he retired.

A skeletal structure of a Shaq ain't fair and isn't changing to that of a female olympian after a year of hormones. Muscles or no muscles. It's an advantage.
This notion that you can change absolutely every nuance of the anatomy to even the playing field is false and dangerous on many levels. Dangerous to fellow competitors. Dangerous to the young females who watch as someone born a man takes the womans medal or breaks a record..... There's still plenty we don't understand about the human body and brain.

Will this also apply to Olympic wrestling?

Not sure how I feel about it. Doesn't sound fair.

Has happened in MMA. Surprise, surprise. Little skill but DEMOLISHING females with the hands. She broke the females orbital in her last bout...

Imagine a MTF transgender fighting in Olympic boxing. :x

You know she showed up to try outs like

nah there been studies on this, just becuase you don't want to to do the research doens't mean they don't exist.

:lol

Yes it maybe an advantage in certain sports to be tall...and??

There are women who are taller than shaq, should they not be allowed to compete in sports against women? I don't understand.

and for the second time yes it does, the muscle mass decreases, the bone density decreases to that of a women. its an advatage to be TALL, not an advantage to be trans.

The Lana Lawless golfer. Did you read it? :lol

And Lawless complained that taking the hormones had caused her to become weaker. How far did she hit when she was a he? Apparently not long enough to beat the men.

When she took the hormones she became weaker. you are making the IOC's point. Take hormone therapy for 2 years and you will drop down to female levels.

Robert “Gabrielle” Ludwig, 52, a wealthy 6 foot 6 inch tall Silicon Valley programmer, launched a late-in-life career in women’s basketball at a Junior College.

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding the panic around this. Being tall is an advantage, Britney Griner is taller and has an advantage, whats that have to do with being trans. If you are on testosterone blockers, you won't be able to gain more muscle mass than any other women.

male testosterone = impossible for women
being tall = totally possible for women. :lol

*shurgs*

I just don't get the panic.

I don't understand what this proves? some trans athletes are good some are mediocre some are bad. How is this different than any other athletes. Also thing about it logically, if its such a huge advantage how come we don't see more trans athletes dominating womens sports? they are pretty rare.

and the MMA Fighter, apparently she had her genitals removed, so she likely has less testosterone than an average women. so what is her advantage?

and if the advantage is so great how come she lost?

Clearly you like cherry picking.
I'll elaborate.
You keep equating muscle mass to being the main factor as well when clearly it isn't.
The height isn't the only factor either. Structure= frame. Do you not see the frame, reach of these MTF transgenders? Would you say they are different then most woman in their rightful sport?
Put your tallest female basketball player against shaq on hormones. It's not the same no matter how hard you try to will it.
Lana broke records. But go ahead and argue about her feelings.

Fallon lost because of her lack of skill. I'm not going to get into the intricacies of MMA since that would be pages. The ability to lose doesn't negate advantages.... advantages don't ensure a win. I don't know how else to break that down.

I provided hard examples. They greatly benefited from being trans.
Clearly, you cherry picked and refuse to objectively contemplate both sides of this issue. So not much else I can say to you. As time goes on with the olympics, we will see how much a year of hormone therapy does. :lol

I'm for it only if they get hormone therapy before puberty.
