Sounds like da first foamposite release in 97..
I dunno what da case was nationwide but in NYC
Everyone had a pair of these..
Da TB eastbay coloways were HARD...
And JM disagree with you thinking these wouldn't
Sell better then flightposite II's...da FP kg's were
Always lukewarm at best in da streets..III's were
Way hotter.

Yeah, the black and black/blue sold well from what I saw and had
It's just the team colorways and other colorways like the gold went to outlets and places like Marshalls in droves.

Team colorways hit outlets is cuz ALOT of people
Didnt know about em or where to find em. Eastbay
Orders back then wasn't as "routine" as it is now.
Looking back, dunno y da gold ones did so horrible..
Guess back then most people really only did primary
Colorways usual And secondary colorways were
"Exotic" (purple, orange, green, etc)
Gold i suppose was too out there...didnt help that
They weren't iridescencent like da flightposite I's..

With Posite hype at an all time high, I don't know why they haven't thought about retroing these. Meanwhile, we have Clogposite retros and zipper-less Flightposite 1's...

Maybe they sold welll in your IMMEDIATE area...however, I recently came across something that indicated that these sold REALLY poorly...

Im sure nike has retro'd shoes that have sold worse than these for sure.
Ninja does have a point tho. A lot of us didn't know about ordering from Eastbay back then so a lot of the TB colors didn't do numbers.
Gold were trash and still are tho. The BG series were too expensive at the time and people were rarely dropping $200+ on shoes back then.

These would fit right in with the high priced Jordan, Lebron and Foam prices today.

aye ill never second guess you homie, only thing you've ever been wrong in thinking da air bakin retros
(tim hardaway miami heat colorway) weren't gonna sell well and they did.
im curious to know what you saw...some old stats?
i'll tell you this, da sneaker culture has changed...im sure you make these in a decent run with that black and lapus colorway and they'll move
alot better then back then...IMO these should've gotten da nod before da flightposite II...

plus they didn't show that shoe no love on the colors. went the real bland route.

passed on those plenty of times on sale..these were kicks i was satisified in owning only one time in my life..no need to re-up.

Wish I would have gotten a pair of black and navy on sale, nubuck on my OG ones are cracking now
I did get zinc and the black ones on heavy discount. They're not as comfortable as the other Flights.
And the Ultraposites
They looked great when unworn. Sort of regret getting rid of them.
