When the album first dropped, I believe I said that 808s & Heartbreaks wouldn't be appreciated until later on down the line as a true work of art.

I've never thought about it like that, but honestly his political songs are really his best ones.Originally Posted by Seymore CAKE

Musically, he still has it but he hasn't talked about anything important (to me personally) since Late Registration.
Agreed. Main reason why I was the only one who disliked Graduation, *@*# was just a glorification of himself.
And@ the stans in this post. I actually like 808's, but some ofyall are being blinded by those Street Lights.
Naw you're just an idiot. People who've seen me post before know I'd barely register as a Kanye fan, much less a stan. You just made a laughable comment indicating how little you know of what you speak. Keep it movin.Originally Posted by StarkyL0ve

Kanye doesn't make or create music. He pushes buttons that spit out sounds and then throws them together. He sure as hell isn't an "artist"
at this thread and the fool above. Kanye aint no genius though.
You want some knee pads while you're down there homeboiiiiiiiii

Killer Mike was down with DF for years before he got his shine. Its call paying dues. You just cant come in the game 1 day and be like ok im talented 4get all the other artist on the label and put me 1st. Are you serious. The reason he wouldnt have had a hit cause the game was so 1 diminsional, and there wasnt as many avenues and outlets to get ur music exposed and heard. He isnt a musical genius, but to say he is just some gay fruity dressin dude who pressed some magic button and created hit after hit after hit is at the very most a very ignorant and asinine statement.
first of all patna, u have no idea what my bank account looks like, so u can kill that irrelevant s***.........
2nd, beanie & killer mike werent trying to be big producers before they were rappers, they were always just tryin to break in as MC's, and yes they paid they dues, but that doesnt mean every rapper does that........
and it has nothing to do with the game being one dimensional, kanye came into the game strictly as a producer, and did that successfully for several years, then saw how watered down everything was and decided to try and change it by making lame music and wearing g*y clothes, yet calling it "different and unique" and having all the kids nowadays thinking hes some savior or revolutionary...........smh

We do due to the fact that um ok u needed to respond. Second your nowhere near the celeb status or financial status as Kanye. Again lets suppose u are someoneof importance(highly unlikely) Did you get your claim to fame and money simply by pushing A BUTTON.So its safe to say you had 2 earn or work to get what uaccomplished in life. With that being said y would u work ur tail off to be middle maybe upper middle class when u coulda just pressed A BUTTON. Either 1 itsmuch more to it then just pressing A BUTTON, or 2 u are a complete moron. Again how does clothing correlate with music talent, arrangement, production etc. Soaccording to u your clothes are a distinction and measuring point on your talent.

PS - this guy has 4 albums and a few mixtapes and you come up with what? 7 bad songs? not even BAD, just not up to his standards? i'd say that's alright...
You stop that right now.
I count at least 9 bad songs off his last two albums alone.
Can you please elaborate...anyone can say false, all these people hating say nothing to back their statements up...
As far as the bolded part...REALLY? and I'M the crazy one?
9 bad songs off his last two albums alone? really?
Drunk and Hot Girls
Barry Bonds
Bad News
Love Lockdown
I'll give you those 4...what are the other 5?

I miss this Kanye.
you can say that, but who is then? Everything about Kanye is the Prince or MJ of this generation.Originally Posted by Seymore CAKE

True. Him, Blaze and 'The Heatmakers' got that sampling $+$% very popular. At least in regards to hooks. If your talking about soul sampling strictly for beats, then I'm going to have to vehemently disagree because people like Primo and PR had been doing it for ages.
EXACTLY.
I didn't even know what sampling was until I heard Through the Wire...not because I'm not knowledgeable about hip hop, but because I really startedgetting into beat making when Kanye dropped. Ye is the RZA of my generation. All his music has a CONCEPT. A purpose. And even though I love ALL hip hop, youdefinitely can't say that about all our MCs and beat makers. Especially in MY generation.
His body of work speaks for itself. If anything it's his personality that turn people off from his music. Which is too bad. But *$$% it, every movementrecquires an opposition.
Despite anyboby's opinion on dude, he WILL go platinum the next time he drops a CD. Actions speak louder mane.
you can say that, but who is then? Everything about Kanye is the Prince or MJ of this generation.
Nah. He definitely hasn't reached that level yet, and there's a good chance he won't.
But he doesn't have to, he is the YE of this generation.
I didn't know it was a pre-requisite to like those groups.Originally Posted by PJ and Bompton

Well, I only like/ can stand 4 songs off 808's and heartbreak so that's 8 bad songs off top.
And the two trash songs you just mention.
So I was wrong.
That's 10.
