Nah, man. In boxing or mma fighters have like 2-3 fights a year on avg. Top Wrestlers in the WWE put up (not counting anything off tv to keep it kayfabe) a lil under 64 matches a year, assuming they fight on every ppv and appear on every week of one of the branded shows. That's near NBA numbers. You can't do ranking week to week and expect anything but meaningless hilarity to ensue. If they did it monthly it'd work better, but it still doesn't take into account what the ranking are even based off of. Are they based on matches won, how you performed in those matches, promos, fan reaction etc. Imo, it's the worst possible thing to incorporate from other sports.

I'm well aware of that matches have a predetermined outcome lol, even if they simply went by ppv W/L/NC/DQ's they'd still be in an illogical position. Do the rankings not move if blank had blank beat but 2nd blank's partner helped them and they got the win, does 2nd blank get the moved up? They'd have to play fast and loose with the rules of rankings or severely limit how matches end to keep things consistent since rankings demand it.You are missing the fsct that the match makers control who wins/loses.
So the number of bouts a wrestler has doesn't really matter.
You can simply acknowledge TV/PPV matches as reasons why there is movement in the rankings.
College Basketball teams play roughly 30 games per year, high number, and there ranking system works fine.
I think you are simply looking at how modern WWE does things (poorly) and basing your answer on that.
Again, it worked for NWA.
They were doing 4 shows (non Brand Splitted) per week.
It HAS worked

Look up his early work with the Freebirds..He did some solid stuff in Memphis around 83-85..Not sure if it's available online or not though..Although I don't remember him specifically, my dad has told me that a show he, my great-grandfather, my brother, and I went to in Tennessee has The Freebirds at it..
Not really. Just that he was known as a good worker and a party animal. And he started wrestling at a very young age.
The Freebirds did have a brief run in the WWF in 1984 during the Hulkamania era...
lol This is a very old man response

Rather than make an attempt to understand you just brushed off the article. FWIW, the comment wasn't meant in a derogatory way, It reminded me of something my dad would say.And your point is?..
