I wasn't happy when I heard about the strap before, but I'm so happy they're removeable. I'm buying these for sure, I don't got moneyto drop $300-$400 on a 2001 pair.

These will do for me even though there's a jumpman in the back, but hey they're called retros for a reason right?

Taking off these straps and throwing black laces on mines and I'll be good.
