If I do get lucky and cop a pair, this will be the last JB high I will buy. It’s really the only remaining one I care anything about.

Who said anything about wishing them success? Being the most successful at it right now is all I showed was happening.Lol, I give up. This is like telling someone Drakes music has sucked for the past 5 years and all they keep doing is talking about streams and numbers. Like Drake, Jordan Brand is still coasting off an almost autonomous machine and legacy models that have outperformed everything for the last 15-20 years. The decline is here. Most of the posters in here know it. Jordan Brand knows it. Despite the numbers still being there currently, the hype and consumer passion isn't. What are you seeing on the horizon that makes you feel confident consumers are going to continuously line up and pay premium prices for a low quality shoe that has already been retroed to death?
It's almost like you're rooting for a company who is ripping consumers off by selling them low quality rehashed versions of the same product every 5 years to have continued success with that business model.

If you aren’t willing to evaluate the data and financials at all you’re just pushing a baseless emotional argument. You were posting a Kayanos vs XI video and can’t even admit it makes zero sense.
Nor did that garbage argument you posted about them doing this release this way because of Nike’s lack of innovation and slumping sales. You’re not dealing in reality.
You didn't get out much then, because comfort, comfort, comfort. Boost is life. Yeezy jumped over the jumpman...yada yada
People have short memories, and now with social media everyone wants to be alike
This is a cycle and the same topic is broached every few years.
I know people said that
yeezy jumping over the jumpman and nike being trash are two different statements
we’re using marketing from kanye himself as a gauge? Of course some people are gonna repeat what one of the most popular people in the worlds saying
they weren’t fully saying nikes were trash outside of nike basketball and new style air max
even then that was vapor max and kyrie takeovers
That’s where the quality comments make me laugh. Maybe if you’re a teenager you missed it but grown adults here talking about quality going downhill when this is the best quality across the board from JB in 20-25 years is astoundingly stupid. That 05-15 decade was some of the worst shoes ever madePeople were saying that on this board.
People have always lashed out, whined and cried when they couldn't get a sneaker. It's the sense of entitlement many have.
Gentry became a punchline for a reason.
From 2005 to 2015 people were calling JB trash and complained about the quality. The paint basically flaked off once you took them out the box.
I've been up here for Dubzeros and Fusions.
I hate to break it to you, but none of these are new discussions.
To add to your point, check out the thread about the black/red 6s that are releasing next year. Obviously it’s still very early, and this community is but a microcosm of the sneaker-buying public as a whole, but if the diehards of NT are willing to skip out on an OG release because their 2019 pairs are still in good shape, imagine what the rest of the world thinks.

niketalk is never my gauge
and quality control was never the point
they weren’t calling the models trash, they were calling the quality control trash
there’s never been a time where kids in large scales were asking for crocs and other brands for christmas
this level of genuine interest in other sneaker brands has never existed before
these youngins are calling the MODELS trash
Did you conduct some sort of poll, because I see plenty of young people wearing Jordans and Nikes.
fam you gotta stop
the point is there is a large, loud swath of young people who care nothing bout nikes or jordans
plus there are some parents who step on what their kids want and buy them what they (the parents) think looks better
I never said all young people think this way but the number of kids who don’t care is bigger than ever
yall gotta stop acting like this isn’t a unprecedented year for Jordan releases
and it’s not by accident
Must be all the old guys who helped JB hit record sales last year. That’s the only thing that makes sense using your narrativefam you gotta stop

That's always been the case.
You can't seem to grasp that none of this is new.
When exactly have all the kids cared about sneakers and Jordans?
you twisting it again pause
we’re clearly talking about kids who’re into sneakers
I feel like if JB just added more pairs to this drop, people would be much more appreciative towards their marketing efforts. It would definitely make people feel like it's truly a 40th anniversary celebration.
Shame because I like the videos and content they're putting out. I haven't seen them do these stuff like this in a while. But since almost everyone knows it's only gonna be a few people who will be able to cop these, a lot of people don't seem to care. Which is a fair reaction tbh.
Analyst projections have the entire market at about 5.5% growth annually between now and 2029. About $110b/yr in sales by the end of the decade. Last year was around 85-90B.I think the overall sneaker market is oversturated. I don’t seem much growth potential from here for Nike. But doesn’t mean they won’t keep taking in billions.

I don’t believe that’s how market analysis and projections are done. Much harder to project arbitrary price increases from individual players. Is that 110B with expected price increases or 5% growth in units sold?
