Jordan Retro 1 High “Laser” aka Custom Lasers Thread

Repped when I re-up.

It doesn't look bad to me, but I wouldn't buy them either

I don't get why son didn't make sure that he would be keeping them forever before doing something like that.

looking at pre owned pairs for cheap, does it matter if the soles are dirty if I'm gonna dye them anyways?

I mean you'll have to get the dirt off before you dye them. Just throw some soap and water and rinse off the dirt.

Really dope concept. It def only works on the gimmick 1s to distinguish.

I never would touch those. I dislike all What the concepts.

Yeah I concur it works on 1-off 1s better than the OG standards....which probably would come off like the What The AM95s I saw recently floating around.

not a fan of "what the" shoes but great execution on them. im starting on my second shoe for my x wing suit customs and will update once done, i need to order some yellow so i can finish them

"what the lasers" are dope from a creativity standpoint. It looks like a lot of work went into them and I can respect that. I'm glad nike/JB didn't come up with the concept and we have to deal with more than 1 pair LOL. I guess I'm more impressed with the amount of work more than the actual shoe. I think all 'what the' shoes should have remained a 'what if' idea....

Hi all,

What's the best method to use for coloring the Nike Air on the tab?  For the first side of my shoe, I tried to color around the Nike Air logo. I then filled a paint pen with royal blue and tried to fill int he logo.  But the paint doesnt seem to want to come out of the paint pen very well.  Is there also a replacement tab I can just stitch in?

OK so I'm going do do royal laser 1 customs. Exactly what kind of blue and black paint? Or is it leather dye? And is there a finisher spray coat so that it doesn't look shiny? Tried watching videos but no one is really detailed on what all is needed damn hippies...[emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

You'll need this kit, and your colors will be Royal (color 1) and the Black 4 oz. (color 2). Then select the matte finisher

http://angelusdirect.com/collections/collector-edition/products/collector-starter-kit

You'll need a mixing jar for your 1:1 ratio if you're doing the paint/ water method

If you don't have any sole dye already, then get the 32 oz. Salon 40 cream from Sally's, it's on sale for $2.99

As for the unshiny finisher, use this Krylon matte finisher after your finished applying the angelus finisher

Edit: @HipHopSays  said it better, I'd go with that option

Just order the royal kit from angelus direct it will give you the right shade of Royal and sole dye. Use the promo code SiNTB and get 25% off the $35-40 cost for the kit.

EDIT: go back to around the top of May of the thread and it should clarify things quite a bit: basically you clean, prep, paint, finish.
