My uncle and aunt live near that area (we drove by that WPR sign a few times when we visited them). I can say it takes a tremendous amount of courage to hold up that sign in that area.
FTR - my uncle and aunt are not racist. They are part of a contingent of hippies that moved into the area in the late 70s and they are still very progressive and open minded.
