Its more a matter separating facts from opinions for me.

It is not factually correct for anyone to claim that a woman requires a man's consent for abortions or tubal ligation.

Hasn't been that way for over 40 years.

Beyond that...I have no problem with you expressing your opinions but we need to separate the facts from the feelings if we are to be honest in our debates / posts...otherwise its hyperbole / opinions and should be identified as such.

The claim has been proven false is all I'm saying.
Black people were indeed slaves for four hundred years. Is it factually correct to state that Black people are still effected by such an institution through racism, even though slavery was so long ago?

Kevin Samuels and the like, have weaponized marriage against Black women.

Female caller: I make six figures a year, I own my own home, car, and I vacation three times a year as well. I have matriculated in Ivy League, graduated with honors. I feel that I am very successful.
Kevin Samuels: That's good, but are you married?

!@#$ him.

Is Kevin Samuels married?

Sure @#&$ him....

... But do the women calling in not, without fail, say they WANT to be married with 2 kids?
... And they want a man to pay the bills. While they keep working.... Because they want their own money and don't want to "depend on any man (aka submit to/ obey) " despite these six figure incomes they would not consider a man that is a stay at home dad. On the other hand men have no problem with that and in some cases prefer it.

The man AND woman work long hours and the kids end up with a caretaker... The stress of both working and "shared" household responsibility breeds dissatisfaction and the woman leaves to be a single mom... Taking her money and the kids and the man's money. Even though statistics show their kids are better off with both parents. Why should men agree to this? How many circles do we have to talk in before women just say they don't want what marriage means to men.

I'm mostly in this for the laughs, but isn't the point of this show to call this guy and ask him how to find a husband?

marriage as a life goal is a whole separate (and valid) conversation.

forever funny how AB started dating her again immediately tho...people really do invite disaster into their lives.

(not any color woman in particular, just individuals proven incompatible.)

I think the problem is that Samuels is stating that if a woman is either fat or with kids, that she should not even think of dating a supposedly successful man.

Understandably, this dude isn't about getting to the nitty gritty of the real problem in our society in regard to Black male and Female relationships, and then why they fail.

The issues are character driven, and why people are seeking the wrong thing in the first place.

The capitalist system, coupled with religion, creates conflicting results in regard to what a family is actually supposed to mean, marriage as well.

That's why I'm laughing, the women call his show saying they want to be married, this is what they bring, why can't they find a husband.

KS seems to have focused his "work" toward being a consultant, advisor eg fashion, developing high-value men, or advising women.

I mean Donald Trump failed at business multiple times yet still managed to get voted to run one the world's biggest countries and economies.

So why from an objective perspective can't KS give advice to these women even if it's a concept/convention that is old and may possibly be outdated?

I do agree with Khufu's last post. I absolutely agree that his platform shouldn't only be a call-in show. I think that is what is perpetuating the image he hates black women.

He could easily post videos/discussions on education, mental health, pursuit of wealth, etc.

BUT!

In his interview with Joe Budden, he brought up a point about why Black women who work in certain industries, would rather smile at a white man, but then hold disdain for the Black man who is standing in line right behind him.

His opinion on Black women being difficult, is problematic.

This was no move of the goal post.

There is a direct correlation between the oppression of women, and the enslavement of Africans in america.

Moving the Goalposts
(also known as: gravity game, raising the bar, argument by demanding impossible perfection [form of])

Description: Demanding from an opponent that he or she address more and more points after the initial counter-argument has been satisfied refusing to concede or accept the opponent’s argument.

Do women require a mans approval for abortions or tubal ligation? Yes or No?

In some cities and hospitals, yes.

Jennafer Norris, at home with her three children, had life-threatening pre-eclampsia in all her pregnancies. She asked for a tubal ligation after an emergency cesarean section to deliver her third child, but the doctor said she couldn’t perform the procedure because the hospital was Catholic.

That's based on some of his callers. That's the thing you keep leaving out. I'm not tryna defend dude, I don't agree with everything he says but the points he brings up are based on these conversations, he ain't just throwing stuff out there. Some of the sistahs that call say they have so much trauma and stress that they just can't help it but to have bad attitudes and he'll say you know how to turn it off at work and that's true. Sad part is that it's some that don't even turn it off at work. I've seen black women and men my age or younger just show up at work thinking they still out on the block or porch.

Did you watch the Budden interview?

That was his opinion on Black women and their attitudes, and I believe in the same observation, he brought up Ali to cosign it.
