Thanks man. I just have to stay patient. My throat is pretty much done, so I'm basically eating 90 percent through my feeding tube. I see the light at the end of the tunnel though. I just have to stay patient. I'm down 40 pounds, but my doctors say I am responding well to the treatment. I have 2 more weeks left. 11 radiation treatments and one more chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is going to flatten me again, but after that it is all recovery. I just have to be patient and stay the course.

And if there are any local NTers who can go to the benefit they are having for me let me know. Even if I don't know you I will make sure you are given a lot of love. Darrun who is hosting it may have some of his Pistons teammates or other NBA friends with him. I'll make sure #NT gets full access and a lot of love.
I know this road is tough brah. I'm a graduate clinician in speech-pathology right now and i'm doing my rotation in the hospital. I see lots of cancer patients with NG and PEG tubes...and lots unfortunately with trachs. I can tell you first-hand that if you can power through this phase your gonna be ok. This is the rough part and looking at your motivation level once you get through this tiny phase you'll be on a much easier path.

stay positive. what 10% of nutrition are you getting right now? just water/ice chips? actual food?
I can still eat SOME food, but not much. It is all about texture since I cannot taste. I try to eat food that is easy to go down like soup, pasta, and other slimey foods.

Everything else goes into my peg tube. I have a supplement called Jevity that is my primary means of nutrition. it comes in can form. I try to do at least 7 cans per day. I also pump water into my peg tube since swallowing has become a challenge. I have to keep practicing swallowing though.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I KNOW I am going to get through this. I just have to fight through this one last chemotherapy session. and 11 more radiation treatments. I am going to conquer this no doubt.

Sup fam. Was wondering how things were doing so I Watched your video update the other day. Ain't gonna lie man it Got me in my feels, i experienced that first hand with my mom so it really hit me hard. Save that energy you'll need it when you are ready to get back to business.

*Toronto NT fambs check the FB for details and come through for the cause

Lets run to prevent unfortunate situations like this one.

OP I like your attitude/mindset. It is very important in times like this. Im glad family and friends are close to you, or became closer to you also it def helps in times like this. I just watched the feeding video, its just the little things people take for granted. Wild stuff, I lived a pretty carefree life before this an it def makes me look at life different. First step when I am back on my feet I'm going to volunteer at the first rehab center I was at to keep people spirits up, go outside with them for a bit etc. Everyone didnt have a lot of visitors on the regular or people to see them it makes a huge difference. As you get better maybe you can ge involved in a Cancer walk or something..........Im not against alcohol or people getting drunk that is their choice but I hope they have a ride like Uber or a good friend to watch their back. OP I dont drink either, I was always the designated driver for others.....crazy stuff.

Three new videos in the first post

I feel you.

Once I beat this, it is may plan to become involved in cancer awareness endeavors.

Understanding how important it is to have people on my side makes meant to help others going through the same struggles.

I had an event thrown for me the other day which was hosted by Darren Hilliard II of the Pistons. It was so awesome. Here are some pics...

It was awesome. A lot of love being shown.

I have my last chemotherapy tomorrow and 6 radiations treatments left.

I can no longer eat through my mouth. Everything is by tube.

I am getting down to the home stretch. i cannot wait until this is over!!!
