**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

We tried to give them the best offer they would receive but NOPE! they wanted be stubborn just because we are the Lakers. It was obvious where he wants to go they should have just took our deal. Now they being petty. They don't know Silver wants to see us win! Def complaints falling on deaf ears.
 
Honestly it was poorly handled all the way around. Soon as pg said I want to go to the Lakers you knew they weren't gonna trade him here. And then magic being hella reckless and blatant with his tampering. Hopefully they don't get busted but man that was pretty dumb

Literally everybody in the league tampers lmao. How else do free agents sign immediately once the free agent period starts? They clearly have prior agreements in place

The Ringer‘s Kevin O’Connor recently spoke to the anonymous agent, who thinks Magic could have left some sort of implicating paper trail.

“[Lakers GM Rob] Pelinka for sure knows how to tamper without getting caught,” one agent told me.



“Pelinka will do whatever it takes to get players. Magic could easily have done something dumb and got caught for it, though.”
 
the thing about tampering which is so funny is just the team officials cant talk to players, by the rules. But team officials CAN talk to agents, and players CAN talk to players. Tampering is such a grey area. Magic can't call up PG himself, but he can call up his agent whenever he wants.
 
Magic joking TV ain't tampering. lol They need texts, phone calls, or PG to snitch. Ain't nothing coming from this. These teams always hating on the empire.
