**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Booker is way more consistent and a way better scorer than Dlo. Dlo is a better passer but not by that much, he's never even avg 5 assist. His career high is 4.8, same as Booker. Defensively they're equal.

I don't know how anybody can think Dlo is better than Devin Booker. It's a good gap between them.

Booker is a more consistent 3 point shooter, especially this year. Inside 3 point line, Russell has been at worst equal or close most of year 1 and 2, and this year better than Booker.

Defensively they are not close.

As for assist total. You’re comparing 28 minutes versus 34 minutes. He’s averaging 4.6 a game right now at 23 minutes a game this season to Booker’s 0.2 extra for 11 more minutes. So Hold on for a second with all of that.

I won’t ad nauseum the minutes argument.

But Los Angeles Los Angeles is right. He’s not on the team anymore. No reason to argue his skill set versus Bookers in here at least.

Booker also averaged 7 more minutes per game and 5 more shots for 6.4 more points. And despite the minutes difference D'lo still averaged more rebounds assists steals and the same blocks. So..

Booker is better and more consistent so he should play more minutes. Inconsistent players always play less minutes. Bringing up rebs, ast is kinda irrelevant cuz neither one of 'em are getting a lot of ast or rebs.

Defensively they are not close.

What does this mean? Cuz neither one of them play defense.

I tried not to. Los Angeles Los Angeles

I actually wanted to talk more so about jettisoning younger players and it’s alarming rate it’s happened in 9 months.

But I was asked about DLo vs Booker.

So younger players = D'lo, Clarkson, Nance ?

D'lo had to go bro, he really had to go. The public opinion out here in L.A was never gonna change for dude.

Clarkson's deal had to go to create to max slots, so a lot of us are ok with that. He is what he is, buckets - replaceable.

Nance, a fan favorite, sad to see him go - but I don't think he'll ever develop a 3 point shot, let alone a 15 footer ... gonna miss that hustle.

See.. Now we might as well..

Russell has played 30 minutes per game in 40% of his career.. In those games he's put up
18.9/4.3/4.9 on .426 / .373
His offensive and defensive rating have improved during his career the more he plays, games of 10-19 minutes versus 20-29 minutes versus 30+.

Booker year 2 and 3.. Averaged 34.7 mpg
22.9/3.6/3.9 on .426/.372 Booker with 2.4 shots
(If you use year 1, it drops down his numbers a lot and he didn’t average 30mpg either)

If you just went with Year 3 Booker which is more favorable for Booker versus Year 1 - 3 Russell playing 30+ mpg
24.2/4.4/4.8 on .430 / .383

I can actually agree about the public opinion part. But still largely wasn't on him. Randle still has a huge section of people who have already written him off despite being a monster most games. And drastically has improved over the last few seasons.

Nwaba as well, who is a stud defensively. Only to appease Rich Paul and give Kentavious Corrections Parole a few extra million.
Not even bothering with Zubac to try to build on it. Even though he was atrocious in Summer League, he showed some promise Y1, now he went from hey, he may develop to a quality starter to Robert Sacre.

And they've already floated they do not want to pay Randle. Tried to move him, then balked when team said we'll give you a second. And there's still the possibility that they lose him in RFA. I don't think him staying is set in stone at all, or us matching.

My issue is it has created very little room for error. And it's not like they traded the guys because they had no talent, or got a great return. That would be something entirely different. They traded them for something in the future that is far from a lock. And if it doesn't happen, they screwed up royally.

Lolz you got them goalposts twerking. First he didn't do anything to separate himself now all the stats that separate him are irrelevant. Luke didn't play anybody over 30 minutes last year so that logic is out

Bruh... He avg 1 more ast, rebs, and 0.5 steals. That's what ya'll bragging about? That ain't separating

I liked Dlo too, was welling to let him grow but dude ceiling is low.

Nobody on the team was consistent enough to give a lot of playing time to.

In 7 less minutes bruh. That kinda makes a big difference

Luke didn't give anyone 30 minutes because he was steering the tank. He was openly team tank when he used to do commentary on sportsnet and it showed with many of his decisions last year. He benched Russell when he has having his best and most consistent stretch of the season so..

Nonetheless I really hope they keep Randle. I want the damn City Jersey. But know If I do buy it they’ll trade him

I’ve come around on Randle and think he will eventually find a happy medium between bully ball and the style Luke wants to run.

But go cop your jersey man. Haha. It will be nice to have either way.

I have a feeling something none of us expect will happen this summer.
Think Deron Williams trade to Brooklyn.

What veteran all stars are out there that can be moved? Wall?

Believe in 24K!!
