**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I couldn't watch the game but reading the comments, it seems like its hard to win when you have refs letting a team shoot 15 freethrows in the OT.

Seems like the ref's controlled this game.

And we should have fouled to prevent the tie but hey man...
I don’t know man I think I would eat the 15K and go in on the refs. I wonder If each time you criticize the refs is 15 or just a one time fine after each game? If you go in on the refs last night, and during practice before next game is it 15K each time?

The only thing to me we should criticize is that last Houston possession in regulation.

Whatever mistakes Shaw made before that don’t matter we were up 3 with 5 seconds left.

The last play BI guarding nobody in no man’s land and KCP gets lost, plus no foul on Gordon on the catch and nobody guarding the inbounds guy throwing the ball in. That was a cluster **** of a defense and that lost the game. Four mistakes in that one play

How bout that lucky bank 3 by Harden smh

Someone said in the NBA thread . Don’t look at Harden look at the defenders and see how scared they are to foul him when they play D. Pathetic. Players are so tentative on D because of how he draws fouls. Is that really how NBA basketball has become thanks to Harden and the refs? It’s a joke how he is searching for hands and bodies to draw a foul. Lame af

It's ugly to watch. Dude flops so much KCP and BI wouldn't even contest the shot cuz you know he's gonna fall to the ground. You can't play any type of defense on him cuz he's flail his arms, lock arms, head snap, if you get close to him. He's a great offensive player but it's a lot easier to score when the refs hand you calls for the slightest contact.

And at this point the refs know what it is. :lol He's not getting fouled. It was funny seeing them call a offensive foul on Kuz early in the game when he did what Harden does mutiple times a game. They know what they're doing.

Honestly I'd probably just hack the crap outta harden. Instead of him drawing fouls making you scared to play d, play so physical it makes him scared to draw fouls. When he comes thru the lane with his arms stuck out, swipe at the ball hard as you can. If he's going to rely on getting fouled, oblige him

Then when he acts like you shot him and lays on the floor for 3 minutes it's gonna be a flagrant

You right . That's why I said swipe at the ball tho so it's at least a basketball play. He knows you can't play honest defense against him and uses that to his advantage

Nah. Mostly lost bc of couple bad plays, few adjustments we didn’t make (harden guarding our center) and really most of all: harden made some Kobe like 3 pointers. Literally fade-away hands in his face 3s. We were up 6 or 7 with 50 seconds left but they made 4 straight 3s if u count start of OT

Imagine being such a ***** you always tryna draw a foul smh
Harden is a flopper and a great player, that sucks for any defense.
HOWEVER, I believe we played him well this game, let him drive and allow his teammates to take over the game.
Not him. I still don't like how the refs call him, any slight nudge and whistle.

What was said up there was true, FOUL HIM HARD. No touch fouls, let him FEEL what Iverson felt back in the day.
Throw him to the floor, I don't care about flagrant fouls and suspensions. Let the entire league get suspended if that
means Harden gets transported back to the 90s.

I've yet to see an actual foul hit his body...

Also, Zo is becoming what we need him to be. COME BACK STRONG ZO!

Didn’t wake up as depressed this morning as I have other tough losses. Harden made heroic 3s and I was kind of shocked we responded to the 2 OT 3’s. We went point for point with no zo and Kuzma clamped. Pretty impressive. Plus I got use to the lakers that played cle and Knicks and so this much competetiveness Is appreciated

We didn't see Ingram on Harden at all. Ball, KCP, Hart were the chasers vs him all night.

I wonder if we're saving that one for a possible postseason matchup. Ingram's length is a different look after the other guys harrass him all game.

In terms of value

Zo
Kuzma
Ingram
Hart

Zo being 2 years younger than Kuzma is a big difference too. the last few games we’ve seen the impact he can have. He dominated the first quarter yesterday.

Eh they all fine.
They hustled hard last night.

O wouldn’t trade them unless we get Davis of course.
