Magic was brought in to get Leonard, PG, Unibrow types. If he can’t get one of those, what is his purpose? He has no basketball front office experience so that’s not why he was hired.

I mean he's done everything correct so far, He's drafted well, hasn't made shortsighted trades (YET!!), signed one Superstar & has us in position to sign another this summer, Has literally offered the entire team to get AD. At this point what else can magic do
The selling point here is supposed to be playing with Bron, we are slowly learning that prospect isn't that enticing to other superstar players.

Plan B would be:
Don’t trade anyone.
Let the young core get experience in the playoffs and hope they make huge developments this offseason.
Punt free agency this summer to sign Unibrow for free in 2020 (maybe give Boogie a 1 year 20-25 million dollar deal)
Unibrow + aging Lebron + young core in 1.5 years.
That’s honestly probably the better path forward.
But this is the Lakers. They exercise no patience lol. The chances of them waiting for Unibrow 2020 & punting 2 years of Lebron seem extremely low.
