Tonight Mike Conley comes to town.

If DLo puts up another 20+ against one of the league's best defenders at the PG position, it'd be an encouraging sign. After last game, you'd think DLo would be brimming with all kinds of confidence.

We are losing because of no Larry Nance Jr.  Bottom line...dude has a motor and does all the little things.

People tried to get at me when I said he was my favorite player and one of the untouchables.

Few more things I'm looking for in tonight's game:

1) The Lakers should have beaten a banged up Memphis squad exactly one month ago but allowed guys like Troy Daniels and JaMychal Green to look like All-Stars. How bad do the Lakers want pay back?

2) This time around, Marc Gasol is coming off a sprained ankle he suffered in the Grizz' last game. What's Mozgov going to do about it in order to take advantage? Will TRob and Black bring the type of spark and contribution off the bench in tonight's game like they did against Toronto?

3) JaMychal Green completely outplayed Julius Randle in their first meeting. Tonight, Randle will probably get a ton of Green and Randolph. Is Julius gonna bring it and accept the challenge?

4) Jordan Clarkson shot terribly in the first matchup. He's been in a slump over the last few weeks. I fully expect Clarkson to make somewhat of an impact tonight, that's if of course he still has any pride left.

5) If the Lakers lose but make it a competitive game and play with full effort, there might be a moral victory to be had especially for this young group. But if the Lakers get blown out and embarrassed in their own gym and fans at Staples witness yet another lackluster effort, it's not going to be pretty. The Lakers next 6 games after this one are all most likely going to be L's.

Nance makes a big impact no doubt, but this is a team game and others have to step up their level of play when the coach calls their number. I was encouraged to see how well Black and TRob played against TOR.

TO has no interior bangers

will be interesting to see how "black-rob" tandem do against zbo and his bully motor

I love Nance, but I would be cautious; Maybe it's bad luck, but I'm not sure he can last an entire season healthy, especially if you think he can think he can be a starter. He might just best be served being a 20-25 MPG player Which kind of makes him sound like he's expendable.

There isn't much difference. It's just that some in here can't see the forest amongst the trees. All these events didn't happen separately in a bubble. And there not excuses, it's real life. Just because it's hard to accept doesn't stop the fact that it happens

I honestly don't think people realize what it means to have an extremely young team. It has happened to all young teams just look at history.
Add the fact that Luke is new and trying to teach them how to play properly.
Add to the fact that we got obliterated by injuries a month into this learning process.

I know everybody needs someone to blame. Blame DLo, blame Randle, blame Luke, blame Mitch, blame Jim. It's just easier to point blame and wish for trades.
But it's not that simple. These things didn't happen separately, they happened together.
And believe it or not that greatfly affects a young team.

Now I'm not getting on the subject of who is a star and whatnot. That's a silly conversation to have so early in people's career.
I'd much rather you guys just admit that certain players on the team rub you the wrong way and that's why you don't like them. And if you're not willing to endure the growing pains of development than admit that too.

But the player bashing (well one player in particular) and insane trade talks are just ...interesting to say the least. It's better to lower expectations and support.

Players need support to get thru not for you to jump ship when times get hard. GoLakers

Yeah. If this is what Nick is as a player now. Not just the past 8 games, but season long....

We should keep him well past this season.
