**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I know I posted it but I didn’t actually watch the clip, certain things I’m okay with missing out on…

Accidentally saw that video of the Dodgers fan blowing his hand up the other day and it’s been stuck in my head ever since smh

With is being an old incident I wonder if anything truly happens here.

Jax is a big dummy. If he loses it all, I wouldn't trip one bit.

Basically publicly announcing JHS sucks and we won’t bring him back, at this point why even let him take up a roster spot?

Can we just waive him?

They could just waive him, but they'll wait it out in hopes of getting something in exchange for him or attaching him to another player in a bigger trade.

Plus waiving him now doesn't help because they want to stay below the second apron. There's not enough breathing room to waive him and sign another player.

On that note:

Utah goin for 0-82, definitely makes sense they'd be interested in him. They want Flagg.

Would downgrade the defense even more, but Clarkson would theoretically give the bench a boost, opens a roster spot and wouldn't impact the books too much.

Sold!

Clarkson and DLo 😍

Clarkson and K4 would def give us some bench scoring, our best chance these days is outscoring everyone. We don't have much defense anyways other than "AD please"

I'll give you a rough guess of who is leading the team in individual Defensive Rating......

Pistons on the second night of a back to back and the Lakers had two days of rest since T'Wolves-Suns. Please win.

25 lineups have a DRTG of 109 or worse.

Gabe in for DLo. 146 DRTg in 12 minutes
Gabe and Max in for DLo & Bron 127 DRtg in 11 minutes
Gabe Max Hayes in for DLo AR Rui 161 DRtg in 8 minutes
Knecht Hayes in for DLo AD 143 DRtg in 7 minutes
Gabe in for Rui 190 DRtg in 6 minutes
Gabe Max Hayes in for AR Rui AD 131 DRtg in 6 minutes
Gabe Max in for AR and Bron 130 DRtg in 5 minutes
Gabe in for Bron 118 DRtg in 5 minutes

There's a few -100 + Net Ratings in 1,2,3,4 minute stretches

Problem is pretty evident..... Gabe and Max are awful, and every time they bring them in, the team collapses.

The Lakers starting lineup is 112/110. Out of 44 lineups that shared 30+ minutes together, it ranks 9th. It's better than OKC, Dallas and Minnesota's starting 5.

Not what NBA stats has. Nor does Fantasy Labs.

Stat muse has a miscalculation in their calculus.
For example, 4 guys would have a negative rating on the team. AD, Bron, Max & Gabe.
Why? Because the team has been outscored when they are on the court. Can't be outscored and have a positive net rating, not how it works.
Bron and AD because they are on the court with a lot of bad lineups including many Max & Gabe ones.
