The fact that Zo’s man is the help guy and Zo is often wide open with no one within 10 feet is all you need to know. Defenders want him shooting. Yes he’ll go on his streaks, but he’ll go on looong dry spells and hit the side of the board or airball too.
Ever notice Zo’s high scoring games only come when he has a hot hand from 3? All those other games with less than 10 points (there were A LOT) came when he had poor shooting games from 3 (i.e. 1-6 3-pt FG)

Zo improved his finishing dramatically from year 1 and was consistently being aggressive after Bron got injured. It's as much mental as it is physical with him. His defensive prowess is paramount for this squad.

Kuz skillset is the one that's easiest to replace. All he does is chuck and score.

How do you know they're picking up our calls now?
We tried that once and it wrecked our entire season. They may not think we have the best offer and the downside to trying this again and it not working is you've done irreparable harm to the young guys.

I would hope the young guys are over it at this point. It's a little different if it happens midseason instead of before the season. If it doesn't go thru you know you're safe going into the season so might as well just suck it up. I don't think it would be an issue like that, not their first rodeo anymore

Last year we worked out a bunch of players and had lots of coverage from the media. Frequent updates with videos, reports of players working out etc.
As of today the only lottery picks we’ve worked out are Culver and Reddish. We’ve barely even worked out second round talents which is odd. I understand we don’t have a second round pick but they should be scouting every single legitimate prospect. One, to have information on every prospect. And two, if they identify a talent they can easily trade for a second round pick with financial considerations like they did with Jordan clarkson. Doesn’t make sense tbh. Even if they are locked onto a prospect or if they’re 100% trading the pick they are doing themselves a disservice.

David Griffin is not going to ignore calls on account of how Dell Demps felt about trading with the lakers at the deadline.
Pels owner empowered Griff to get the best deal.
Griff appears to have a good rep league wide... which leads me to believe he will be fielding all offers in hopes of finding what he deems the best package for AD.
What reason does Griffin have to co-opt some petty grudge from before his time with the Pels?
