**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

or Pelika can play hardball and tell Griffin to kick rocks. Sign a max this off-season. Trade off the young core by deadline and sign Davis next off-season?

Is that a possibility?
the lakers are not going this path again. if griffin presents a list and all it would take is zo, ingram and # 4. it's done.

I feel like we might be able to keep 2 of main young guys. Zo and Kuz would be my guess.

Griff is realizing there isn't much else out there.

If our big 4 is AD, Bron, Jimmy Butler, and Kuz, that's still a helluva lot better than 90% of the league.

And thinking on it.....look at those names........we'd need a PG.......guess who would stay cheap? Rondo.  **** man.

I bet Lance will want to stay. Javale too I imagine. After that......I don't know. We'd still need some shooting, big time.
that's if Kyrie doesn't sign with us. If we pull this AD trade off and get Magic and Kobe in the free agent meeting with Kyrie :nerd::pimp::pimp:

Happy Father's Day to the NT Dad's + Lakers fans out there!!!

WOJ:

- Lakers are in the lead for Anthony Davis

- Pelicans want Lakers to involve 3rd team for assets

- Wants to get deal done hopefully by the weekend

Why not just workout the top 4 players anyways

Lakers are gonna end up tradinng both BI & Lonzo in this deal more than likely, but under no circumstance are they not gonna get AD. even if its just to save face with the fans they aren't gonna play hardball. I see Lonzo going to N.O the 4th & BI traded to a third destination for more picks.

Griffin likes BI but i'm sure he doesn't wanna have to pay Ingram this summer. Now if this gets done & we keep Hart/Kuz i think we def bring back Javale/Bullock/Wagner/Caruso I'm real interested to see how they would spend the remaining money? after watching the playoffs & how fielding a top heavy team is always vulnerable... i could see them not going max & trying to grab a deeper roster.

Gonna miss Zo. Loved his game :(

Ya I agree. Gonna be BI Zo and 4th pick. Zo prob go to third team for some garbage picks since he’s seen as a “bad player”. Once healthy we will all see how great he really was

BI is the best player in the deal it's not like NO would not pay him, they aren't exactly a free agent destination, Gentry likes Zo but I don't know if the organization wants to deal with Big Var's antics.

It wasn't supposed to be this way, AD was supposed to be the 3rd piece to put us over the top and be the bridge to the future, I hope these clowns know what they're doing.

How funny would it be if the AD trade happens Saturday and game 7 is on Sunday and all anyone wants to talk about is AD

Man this KD injury may impact the nba in a major way.

Prior to his injury it was almost a forgone conclusion he was dippin.. likely headed to Brooklyn or the Knicks to possibly team up with Kyrie. Now with his injury he will certainly be out all of 2019-2020. When he returns there is no guarantee he will be at his peak. Teams will be very wary giving him a long term deal considering he’ll be coming off a very debilitating injury and he’ll be missing a full season. It is very possible the GSW end up resigning him for 2 years as a courtesy (is this possible? Idk their cap). I can’t imagine a team giving him max money at this point.

So the implications could be that Kyrie no longer wants to go to Brooklyn or the Knicks alone. Maybe he resigns with Boston. The lakers chances of getting kyrie probably went up too. What other FA destinations are offering kyrie the ability to immediately compete for a championship?

Kawhi is still possible. But seems increasingly unlikely. Who knows with him though. Dude doesn’t say a word to anybody.

But if you get a guarantee from Kyrie right now then I feel like you have to go all in on AD. I’m a big proponent of keeping at least one of Zo/BI for sustainability reasons but if we got the chance to add AD and Kyrie then we gotta do it. AD/Kyrie are still relatively young so we’d still be competitive for at least 5 years after Bron.

Teams will still line up to give KD the max. This injury won't impact his money. Knicks and Nets would still like to love to have KD.

It might impact other stars remind up with him, especially if he's gone all next season. Kyrie is 100% gone from Boston. That bridge is burned

How does KD’s injury impact the Unibrow chase?

Does it remove the Knicks?

Who is left?

I’m still down with the Lakers giving him the max even if he misses 8-10 months.

I think it takes the Knicks out but maybe they still try if they sign KD since AD said he'll stay there long term though. It may embolden some outsider team to come in though seeing as he'll be out for the year and GS will be ripe for the picking.

I think it helps us with the free agents though since many of them were linked to KD as a package deal should he leave GS. And on the AD front I'm sure this will only embolden the Lakers to get it done since the window has opened dramatically.

I don't think it impacts us at all.I still think that multiple teams offer Kevin Durant the max this offseason. It'll be interesting to see how impacts pairing another star with KD. I don't think that Kyrie is going to want to go to the Knicks or Nets by himself knowing that Durant's going to be out all season. Maybe it helps our chances of getting Kyrie if we trade for AD?
