**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I like to hear this, I think Bradley is gonna be important for us this year. Him & KCP are the two role players who i think will have the biggest impact on this team. With Bradley i think it's moreso a matter of health.

With KCP i'm hoping he could have somewhat of the awekening JR did once he went to the Knicks/Cavs & at least be consistent nightly. He's never gonna be a high IQ guy, but i'm hoping putting him around competent players lessons his ability to make stupid plays on the ball. He's another guy who we need to chase around 1/2's effectively.

I've come around on Bradley. Excited about what he can bring to this team. Said his body fat went from 3 to 12% last year after dealing with groin surgery. His defense as well as Dwight's have the potential to take them to another level

Dwight ain't gonna go back to being no defensive player of the year, but i think he can be a really good positive on defense especially next to AD. His ability to grab boards & just being defensively sound should help alot. We saw the impact Tyson Chandler had last year & Dwight can very easily replicate that.

Also a thing that i've liked so far is that this team seems to have chemistry & a bunch of guys who've played with each other through the years.

For the first time in a few years i think the lockeroom will be in line & on the same page. And a lot of that is due to us putting together a strong coaching staff full of guys that will hold players accountable.

If rondo becomes a late career J Kidd shooting from three then he becomes a much more significant player because it gives him another dimension in playmaking

LTB's outcast bastard child team in LA.

Seriously glad they left SD. Their owner Dean Spanos and his kids are cheap bastard bums and even worse than when Donald T. Sterling owned the Clippers

I think dwight going to have a good season for us, he understand how big this is for him and his career.

I can see him taking that starting spot from javale at some point

I'm gonna be pumping up Dwight and Avery all year long because these two guys gonna be our defensive wild cards if we hope to take the chip.

Can't wait til we start getting accustomed to seeing these 2 impacting the game every time they step on the floor.

Think Dwight will be about 75% of what he was in Charlotte, which is still pretty good.

Look at how big of a boost tyson chandler gave us last yr. Just having a competent back up is huge. Dwight is perfect for that role.

got a feeling Dwight is going to win back a lot of Laker fans this year.

1 of them being you. Don't be afraid and upload your Dwight custom avy that had him holding the ball and the championship banners in the background.

The one you modified over the years with crap centers like Kris Kaman

 If Dwight plays to Niketalk Laker Thread standards, I'll take your word and re-upload it.

Come on now y’all ain’t even bein realistic

Dwight Howard ainn winnin no defensive awards or being selected to no defensive team. We should just expect him to be serviceable on defense and make the proper rotations and contest shots.

Contrary to popular belief Avery Bradley has never been a great defender either. He’s an active defender so I get why people think he’s better than he really is. Vogel is jus blowin smoke up dudes ***. If Avery is average on defense I’ll be satisfied

Team should be elite in all these categories. And this is a nice touch too

I also expect the team to be top 3 in points differential and defensive ppg allowed, while limiting squads to just above 40% shooting.

I'm buying the Bradley hype i'm just not buying him being healthy the whole season, hopefully that changes.

But dude is back in shape & finally back on a winning team with expectations. All he has to do is actually play his role as defender & a guy who can spot up.

I hate to say this. BUT a loooooooooooooooooot of the player's we're counting on this season
are all injury prone historically.

Be prepared for the worst.

Hadn't seen this before after Mamba dropped 81:

Really good and just crazy the praise Sam Mitchell was talking about and praising him even after Mamba went off and did Toronto and Jalen dirty.

Also that last top 50 GOAT discussions by Bleacher Report is straight TRASH. Having Kobe outside the top 10 and having him at #14 and Steph Curry at #10

**** whoever wrote that list.

we know what the list is about, it's about getting reactions out of people.

However as the years pass & these blog boyz start to rely more & more on numbers with no context. people are going to try to push Kobe further down the list

Kobe the second best guard of all time, F any list by some media outlet

Always remember this:

“At the heart of Kobe Bryant's legacy is an unrelenting competitiveness. But it's his longevity that pushed him up to No. 2 on this list.

Kobe had a whopping 17 seasons in which he played 500-plus minutes, had a usage percentage of at least 25 and posted an above-average box plus/minus.

Karl Malone is the only other player in NBA history with 17 such seasons. Tim Duncan and LeBron James had 16. Shaquille O'Neal had 15. And then we get to the other shooting guards. Jordan and Wade had 14.”

Lakers store delayed the AD jerseys again. Supposed to ship the 30th of sep now 21 october.

I'm sure I won't get either jersey until December.
