I still can't believe it. Still doesn't feel real. We'll never get a HOF speech, never see him at 10 and 20 year Championship reunions. He'll never see his daughters grow up, hoop, get married, etc.

He is big bro. I know more about him and definitely learned more from him than a lot of my own fam.
Basketball aside it's just heartbreaking that he was so happy being a family man and taking care of them.
I was 10 when he came into the league. Now I'm starting my own family and teaching my daughter. Just knowing he cant enjoy seeing his daughters grow and continue to enjoy that part of his life is ******* tragic.
I don't even think they should play tomorrow. Need some time.

They blocked off ALL day today on bay area sportsradio for Kobe. Literally no football talk today the week of the super bowl in which their team (9ers) are playing. Mad respect for Kobe

Upset that I can't even make back to LA until Saturday. I would have been at the game tomorrow no matter the cost. I just want to look at all my Kobe stuff...I want to be around the city.

Not really interested in reading about the pilot or exact cause of the crash. Unless it was foul play, it’s almost irrelevant of the EXACT cause (engine failure vs too much fog etc). Either way it was a freak accident. I’m sure Kobe doesn’t use just random pilots and I’m sure people get away with countless flights in fog etc. At this point it just causes more pain. Maybe his wife would wanna know but for us fans, it happened. Now best to just keep his memory going and continue to promote mambamentality

No. Just like Vanessa not having said anything (for obvious reasons) they were his family. Not in a figurative way but in a real real way. Rob was Gigi’s godfather for heavens sake. They probably haven’t even left their homes yet.

Ya man laker organization is a whole different beast. Other fans wouldn’t understand. Jeanie sees Kobe as family. He’s not a “player” for them. Similar to why LeBron probably hasn’t posted anything. It’s another level for certain guys and situation. Similar to kyrie not saying anything (he missed game yesterday for “personal reason”) - translation; he was too heartbroken to play. Not to take away from guys who did play or post but there are levels

Exactly. Some of those practices may have held us back but it's the Laker way...wouldn't want to change it.
I don't even care if we win a title this year but I'm telling you if we do, that will be the most emotional championship moment ever.

Def too soon to talk basketball, but I wish the nba extends the trade deadline 10 days or so to allow to those to grieve (especially the Lakers/Pelinka)
