Wouldn’t signing Drummond to a vet minimum, non Bird right deal put the Lakers in another Morris type situation this summer where they’d only be able to offer him a raise of up 120% (2.8 million)?

If the Lakers are in fact anticipating getting Drummond, it would make sense that they're making Trez available. There wouldn't be many front court minutes available between AD, LeBron, Drummond, Kuzma and Gasol.
In a perfect world the Lakers could get Drummond on the buyout market and flip Trez for a wing
