**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

It's gon be dark days if we don't pair someone with AD.
with who? the guy who misses more games than plays each season?

someone said ad was gonna leave if we didnt put the right guys around him.

we talking bout the same i got nothing to prove anymore ad?

ad probably never cared about winning. probably did everything right in 2020 to appease his idol.

stopped reading after author said kyle guzman was having a breakout year

a whopping 16.3 ppg is a break out season?

If it's about winning a title, making a move for John Wall isn't it.

Yeah it stinks that this is a lost year, but see what you can do in the offseason instead of making a move that gonna put us in the same position, out in the 1st or 2nd round.

They better be back channeling the hell out of Dame or hopefully there is a team that wants a 47 mil dollar expiring contract....

Wait let me get this right... you talking job performance and just we had a championship team in 2020, injuries last year and his job performance is terrible because (if we believe the reports) he was out voted in a russ deal that he didn't want to make....

Makes sense to me.
I don’t think Rob should be fired if that’s what you got from my post

Edit: My post was replying to the fire Rob bc of Klutch comments. Said you (meaning whoever is in charge of making decisions…Jeanie) get rid of him if you’re unhappy with his performance. Talking about the process not saying that’s what they should do. Maybe that wasn’t clear in my post, IDK

Yeah, this narrative that the players from the Westbrook trade or balling out is completely false. They've already shipped off Trez, Kuzma is literally the exact same player he's always been, KCP is playing...fine. on top of all of that, The Wizards are terrible and already tanking for next year. If anything, the wizards "won" solely because they got off of Westbrook's contract.

I don't believe none of this ****.

If Bron is mad at Pelinka/Buss it ain't because they didn't trade for John Wall.

I think he and Rich are definitely posturing. Setting things up for this summer, which is going to be trying to push/force them into packaging Russ expiring and possibly BOTH 2027 + 2029 picks for Dame or maybe a Hield/Brog type package etc. to make at least one last run and then see if Bron is willing to reup maybe for another 1+1.

The Russ and 2027 1st for Wall deal hasn't ever made any sense from jump considering Wall hasn't played making Russ better by default and Russ by all accounts is actually willing to listen to buyout offers. Why am I including a 1st again? Tillman Fertita is notoriously cheap and wouldn't turn down a 1 for 1 swap if it meant saving 7/8 figures. I don't think that was truly on the table which is why we heard at the deadline Wall + Wood for something around Russ/THT + 2027 1st. That would've been a shortsighted move as well.

All I know is, THANK GOD we have Lebron under contract for next season.

Let’s hope if he asks for a trade it’s not too much of a player friendly deal as Jeanie loves her PR. At least get something back

Trade or not, seems like Bron is out unless something magical happens this summer.

Bron wants to win titles and clearly the roster as constructed is not a championship team.

We have him for one more year and either he bolts or maybe he works with us on a trade so we don't lose him for nothing.

Lebron is top 3 all time...but all the drama that surrounds him makes him easy to hate.

A lot of gas-lighting from the media, time to close Twitter for the next few weeks.

On another note, not sure if I’d be mad if Bradley was waived and LAL signed Jevon Carter.

The wild thing about all the consternation from Klutch is that we've had no less than 6 of their clients on the payroll, literally given up every asset we have until 2027 for Bron and AD and they still have the audacity to talk about we ain't going all in. Enough is enough. It would have been malpractice to give up the very last asset we have to get another one of their guys that hasn't played in over a year.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone

Why would the lakers trade Westbrook and a first rounder to get a guy who has played 20 games the past 3 years? Am I being punked here?

The lakers will have much better options this summer.

Lakers PR should have just said “we didn’t see a trade that would have made us better this year and would have still allowed for flexibility this summer”. Tell Ramona to push the summer of 2022 agenda.

These espn analysts are just ******* idiots
