How can they not understand the boos? No effort, no heart. Even with injuries you have enough to beat teams like the Pelicans and Clippers but you keep getting embarrassed out there. They just don’t get it

What’s not to get?

Guys are worth millions upon millions and have been in the league forever. They are all mercenaries who don’t give a **** about the laker brand like we do as fans.

There is something to having either drafted guys or guys like kcp who were made famous by the lakers.

Considering that one of them (Ariza, Bron) said something like 'What do you know about basketball?', I have to assume the heckling was reasonable. If so, this was bad, man. C'mon, Bron & Trevor.

If it wasn't reasonable, get the fans kicked out like Bron & Russy have done before. I've always supported that.

Adding to that. There’s only 5 guys left from the 2019-20 squad. And 2 of those guys played on other teams last year. And when you look at some of the roster turnover each season from some of those teams from 2013-18 before Lebron, it’s hard to have any type of team culture or team pride.

It’s a job to these guys ultimately as you said. But I agree completely about the having drafted and home grown guys part. It’s dope seeing someone like Udonis Haslem being a Miami Heat lifer on that end.

Bron gotta go ASAP. IMO it's disrespectful to the Lakers franchise and Cap to let him pass Cap in purp and gold in meaningless stat padding fashion. He gives absolutely nothing on the defensive end and now he's so washed he's out there cussing out the fans because he can't handle the boos.

I may catch heat for this but pay gap between star players and role players/contributors is far too wide presently. In the case of the Lakers you have a big 3 that simply aren't playing up to their massive contracts and the lower contract players just aren't up to par or motivated enough to fill the gaps.

We won the championship and since then, have gotten rid of everyone who played hard and with energy and replaced them with Russ, Melo, & DJ

Always been like that.

The thing is he’s just too old to give max effort all game long and he just can’t move on defense anymore. He shouldn’t be our #1 guy at his age. But here we are

When you have a head coach in December making excuses like “we need Ariza back”, the culture is trash. How many injury depleted teams beat us this year when we had 2 or 3 stars? And they beat us only because of effort

I said this team reminded me of the 2012-2013 Dwightmare team in the pre-season and I was wrong.. this team is actually worse. Probably the most unenjoyable team I've ever watched. Even the worst Laker teams had Kobe, some type of young guys to develop & picks to look forward to.

Called their ceiling a 2nd round team months ago and they'll be lucky to reach that far. Russ honestly having the worst homecoming season in the history of sports? Can't think of another one on this level of disaster.
