Him being hurt and unplayable might actually help his trade value.

AD and Lebron can think whatever they want. At the end of the day Rob needs to shut that one down. I get listening to your stars so they feel they’re involved, but you don’t need to make questionable trades just because they think someone is the move. If they get mad because you didn’t trade for Westbrook, so be it.

Part of being a GM is making moves or in this case not making moves which may not be popular with your top talent but is ultimately in the best interest of the organization.
