**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

If you were to blow this team up, you'd hope and pray and wish and thank your lucky stars to end up with 2 injury prone but proven top 10 players with a 2 year championship window at any point in the next decade. Both of whom are monsters and routinely healthy in the playoffs. Yall sound crazy to me man

We did that when we traded for AD. He was injury prone then too. Had a healthy season and we won a chip. Has had 3 injury riddled seasons since. It was the right move, the risk-reward worked. now we’re going through the bad part of that trade - the Annual Disabilities

Sounds like you’re more optimistic than me for AD’s future if we keep him. I believe the pattern will continue. Hope I’m wrong but the sample size is big enough now

As long as you have Bron/AD you have to go for it. Even if it doesn't work, you still gotta push your chips in. Maybe not all in depending on the situation, but you're definitely betting something.

There's a happy medium somewhere that doesn't involve you trading all your future draft compensation for another star just because. Nor is staying pat and letting Bron/AD languish with a flawed roster under the guise of we're waiting for the right deal, knowing you bull****ting and trying to dodge the tax.

Most importantly, tanking is incredibly stupid considering NOP can swap picks this summer and outright take next years. That's all the motivation you need to make a move. Big or small.

This is what, the third medical staff we've had since Gary Vitti retired? I swear Jeanie hired Dr. Nick from The Simpsons.

Man. That’s crazy about his foot. Multiple doctors stumped. Our
luck of course

MIKE LOWERY MIKE LOWERY you make some good points. Wonder if the front office sees it that way and make a move. Depends on AD’s prognosis I guess

Killa Trae
Real deal Beal
Lebron

title.

everybody knows if ad didnt go down a year after the title we would have repeated even with bum *** kuzma and drummond. we'd be title contenders every year if ad doesnt get injured each season

Couldn't have said it better myself

Since we're all in agreement that a trade or two is going down, time to fire it up!

Been saying this for years. Gotta wonder why he continues to insist on wearing low tops like a straight dumb***

Trade him if he keeps wearing Kobes

Lol lol lol

So the other 900 players that wear low tops should stop too?
Lol

No, because their lower bodies aren't as brittle and injury prone as AD'S.

Therefore THE MORE AD should switch to high tops since he knows he's predisposed to lower leg injuries.

Make sense bro?

No it doesn’t. That’s not how shoes work in the slightest. He’d have the same issues in a high top.

How do we know that if he's never tried it?

My point is, whether it's ankle support, ankle braces, heel support, etc...AD has none. At least with a combination of high tops, ankle/heel support, and lighter shoes, he will provide STABILITY for his feet.

Google image search him on the pelicans. He wore High’s plenty there.
Yeah and he had less serious foot injuries back then right? I dont remember him being out for extended periods due to recurring ankle and foot injuries three years in a row in New Orleans like he has been as a Laker.

Plus He's older and more fragile now because of wear n tear over the years so THE MORE he should go back to the highs IMO
