**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Yo did you go to the game lynchpin33 lynchpin33 ? You gotta be sick if you didn't.
Beyond sick. But between him being questionable until 4pm, how downtown looks with Bron being in town along with the influx of people due to the CFB playoff tomorrow night along with the Peach drop, and of course recent history if Bron is in town more than two days he doesn't play along with the price of tickets. I didn't want to chance it and of course he plays and puts on a show. Heard the team got in town Wednesday night after the Miami game and Bron is in town until at least after the football game. Crazy that the team could be in the Atl 5 days. That's unheard of during an NBA regular season in any city under normal conditions.

I would have no problem shipping the 24 or 25 pick.

We just can't do it.

But you want to ship 27 and 29 when Bron and AD are long gone and we need those picks to rebuild....

I'm open minded. I just want someone to spell it out for me. How do you build a better core than Bron/AD in the next 10 years? Guarantee me that the 27 pick won't miss 10 games in December. Give me confidence that the 29 pick will still be elite at age 38. I'm all ears

what makes it hurt is the last two years the west really been open
this year ESPECIALLY lol

AD had 43 then 55 a few weeks ago. bron avg 30 rn over 10 and had 47 :lol
just build a competent team around them and they can carry in a 7 game series tbh

AD always the x-factor tho cuz he does get hurt a lot
even in the 2020 run he aggravated his achilles right?

What 2 players in the next 5 drafts after 2024 are better than Bron/AD right now? I'll wait

Here’s the thing though. 38-40 year old Bron + always injured AD won’t win a chip anyways. Window is closed in my opinion. So why not get some assets for them?

Now, if you think the window is still open then that’s a position to have and I respect it. Just not my belief

I think the window is closed solely because I can’t rely on AD

I won’t judge rob til the deadline.

I can’t complain now for not trading Russ/2pm picks and then turnaround and celebrate Rob if he pulls out a Russ/picks for all star or any two players from Toronto type move as a result of being patient . I will wait to complain come Feb 9

You speak as if the core of Bron and AD has had the success the core of Kobe and Shaq or Kobe and Pau had....

it really come down to AD and health and i think that's a big reason why the FO is operating the way they have been

this year you could say he did have a lot of overuse but years prior have been pretty unlucky incidents. fact remains tho that even tho he's elite he can't consistently stay on the floor.

i still think they can compete with anyone with a good roster tho and barring health
better roster, less demand, maybe he'll be able to be ready for a playoff run? think if they commit tho he's prob gotta go on that no b2b gameplan lol

Because there is nothing to spell out.

Last 3 seasons with this core, thats supposed to be so great, has lead to a first round exit, missed playoffs and struggling for a play in.

And apparently there is a magic trade that's gonna make this core better.

Attaching hopes to a guy that's 38 and a guy made out of glass with no plan after them.

Spell out how that makes sense....

If you apply enough pressure to glass...

it becomes diamond.

Or does it break? I dont remember.
