If the Staples Center is a circus, than im a mark for the Lakers.

Proud of it too, I prolly bleed Purple and Gold by now.

read an article that said they had russ for hield and turner on the table before training camp but jeanie nixxed it

think it was on bleacher report or athletic or maybe a haynes report lol

it not 'put them to the top of the league' type but them two would have helped alot and been better with them instead of the 4-5 guard lines ups (russ at the 5 :lol)

Still waiting on someone to spell it out for me 😴

You have Mr Glass and a 38 year old. Both of them could be ELITE for another year. Or both could be half season at best players.

Asking for what Junior in High School will be better than them today is a little funny.

I guess you wouldn't have wanted Luka 4 years ago. Or Zion. Or Ja. Or Tatum.

You can pay a 39 year old 50 million and another elite part time guy 35+ million, orrrrrrr you can try to sell now, get as much as you can get (1-3-4-5 whatever picks) and pay them pennies on the dollars for a few years. Combine those picks with the picks you already control you use your very solid scouting unit to load up the roster with young talent the next 3+ years. Then you try to spend the money/cap space you have to lure the next wave of stars lookin to move from their current teams.

Pull 2 solid stud young kids.
Sign 2 solid stud vets.

Mix in 3-4 young role types. The Josh Hart type picks. Zubac types. Kuzma, etc.

4ish years from now (maybe 5) you could have a solid core + have control of future picks to use to add whatever missing ingredient you don't have.

This is the blueprint. No, I do not know the names/games of the High School Seniors and Juniors to look for in 3 years. My apologies.
And guessing which NBA stars will be lookin to move in 3 years is also futile. But they will exist. They always do. We just need an owner/GM combo to help entice them.

We have too many decent wins for us to have the record that we have.

I reeeaaallllly like what I'm seeing from Bryant and Gabriel underneath. He's a good finisher on breaks, he doesn't try to get cute in halfcourt sets. Just a solid rim presence. You love to see it.

On another note though can always end up with more picks if Bron / ad asks out

I hope it doesn’t come to that but who knows lol
Bron prob won’t get a crazy haul but I think AD would

Gobert trade was terrible tho so I think teams are going to be hesitant to give that much now. And 50 games of AD still better than rudy imo :lol

westbrook has been good for this team especially when ad played.

hes an asset when he plays under control

i dont know why the **** he didnt play like this last year.

Tanking is so easy. Zion has played less games than AD the past 4 seasons. Yall would love him. Tatum was obviously the best player in his class. That's why the Lakers took Lonzo. Luka was a sure thing. That's why he was essentially the 5th pick behind Marvin Bagley. None of these guys have won anything. All of them are better than Lebron. All of them are better than AD. Tanking is so easy.

.....

I guess you would be cutting bait on Bron/AD after their 4th years then, since it took them 8-9 years to win anything.....

You can have a 38-39 year old for 1.5 more years at 100 million.

Or you can try to identify a young star at 19-20 years old hopefully for the next 15 years. Sorta like.....Kobe.
And then try to land another one.....and another one. Sorta like......Golden State.

The longer we wait, the lesser the return if/when somethin else gives out on Bron/AD.

Hey, if they were 33-34 (Bron) and 26-27 (AD) then I'd certainly be more patient with them. But that's not the case. Their bodies are ticking time bombs. If AD comes back in two weeks and goes down AGAIN, your return just gets worse and worse.

Just interesting watching folks scream just make a trade knowing we can't depend on AD.

So we make a trade, lose all our assets to lose in the 2nd round because AD tweaked that foot again and is out the rest of the playoffs?

That makes sense.

But babble on about Bron playing well at 38 and having to do it all on his own because the guy he wanted can't stay on the floor.

Nobody wants to trade Lebron or AD but it's something that might be necessary. The last 3 seasons have shown AD can't stay healthy and Bron has missed a significant amount of games as well during his tenure.

Just find the next Kobe and Steph. Simple. Or the next Lonzo and Randle.

Or Giannis.
Or AD.
Or Bron.
Or Dame.
Or KD.
Or Jokic.
Or Ja.
Or Booker.
Or CP3.
Or Harden.
Or Embiid.
Or Tatum.
Or Luka.
Or KAT.
Or Edwards.
Or Banchero.

I for one LOVE you bringing up Randle, ya know, given how you didn't want to lose games and we picked 7th rather than 1st-2nd-3rd....... :lol
