**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Wiggins was pretty solid on D early, kinda looser about it now. But he has more skill at it than Booker does.

And he would board more without KAT around.

And "elite" scorer, with one game over 40 points in 2 years? Elite? Kinda livin off just the one game, no?

Wiggins doesn't play D. He didn't grab boards his rookie year either. Doesn't pass the ball.

Booker already has as more 30 point games than Wiggins does right now. He's missed 40 points by 1 point 3 times and by 2 points once.

And it's a misnomer that he's only an iso scorer. Kid moves off the ball really well as well.

Wiggins doesn't do much else either but you called him a great. And he's 3 years older.

I didn't say he was only an iso scorer, I said he was only a scorer, he does nothing else. On or off the ball, he doesn't help the team outside of scoring. (yet, of course, he certainly can develop, I wouldn't bury a kid like you do the Laker kids)

3 years? Or, 1.5 to be accurate, right? Wiggins just turned 22. Booker turns 21 in a few months.

Booker may very well end up averaging 30+, 5 boards (he's 6'6 after all) and 5 assists in 2-3 years. That's kobe level

I mean, to get 70 at age 20 is phenomenal. He's an elite scorer at 20 already, it's crazy

All those teams ahead of us have a legit future superstar - Embiid, Jokic, Booker, KAT/Wiggins

That's the problem. People are iffy on whether we have anyone in our young core who will be as good as they will be

Wouldn't call embiid legit until he's cleared to play 30mpg. Kat and Wiggins are so good yet they've only managed to win a handful more games than the Lakers and that's with two of their guys in year 3 and one in year 2. The nuggets are a veteran team with young pieces, we're the inverse. One of their young core players is on his way out the league and besides jokic none of the others has proven anything. The suns are also laced with better vets than us and are still trash

This self hate has got to cease :{

Booker up until now (Kentucky, first two years in NBA) has shown no evident of being a high level defender and rebounder. He's a pretty good passer, but isn't being asked to playmake much this year.

DLo may very well end up averaging 20+, 5 boards (he is 6-5 after all) and 10 assists in 2-3 years. That's CP3 level.

Weird how Booker has a Kobe ceiling, and DLo (based on both you and Mamba) needed to be traded at 19 during the summer league. Curious.

That 70 got people all kinna silly right now. Elite scorer. Cuz of a single game. :lol

Hard to average 10 assists when he's going to be a SG.

35+ 5 times already man. Book had more 30 point games his rookie than Kawhi had his entire career before this season.

He's being moved off the ball in his second year

Luke and management don't believe you

Wonder why they don't wait 3 more years to see if he can be an elite PG

I'll give you the 20 points as a SG, I'll take that

I'm saying they've already given up on him somewhat as a PG :lol

Luke and the staff see in him what we saw in summer league :lol
He's not an NBA PG.

He can become an above average offensive SG

Like I have said earlier in the thread
Move DLo to the 2 so he can play off the ball at times and flourish with an actual competent PG

Can anyone explain how dlo has averaged more assists the past two months than he has his whole first two years if they've given up on him running the offense?

In my opinion, DLo as a PG is decent, but I think he would be Michael Redd esqe as a 2. I think his potential as a 2 is greater than as a 1.

I guess this is what it looks like when the team gives up on you running the offense takes the ball out your hands and moves you to off guard. What the hell do yall be watching man? Suns games? :rollin

Luke Walton has YouTube highlights too
So does smush

Getting assists is not the same as running an offense. He can get 5 assists as a SG

Either you watch games with a blindfold on or you just don't understand what's going on out there. Either way there's no point in furthering this discussion. Good day sir
