**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Hell no. We keep that pick I want Magic wheeling and dealing, let's put this thang in action word to 2 Chainz.

Magic definitely will be trade hunting 8o

Let's just hope it's the right targets, young guys that fill definitely NEEDS

No repetitive players.

I'm excited to see what the plan is if/when we lose the pick.

We have more than enough youth some of it needs to be consolidated into better players.

You consolidate them into better prospects.

And it's just not there.

Because stars available are Paul George & Carmelo Anthony.

Melo isn't leading a team to a title. And Team is infinitely better if they WAIT for PG as opposed to trading for him.

All I want from the Lakers offseason

1. Take Fultz or Jackson...
2. Then try to take advantage of the Pelicans situation with Deng
Pelicans have no space with Jrue's cap hold & must re-sign Jrue because they won't be in play for anybody better, and need to appease Cousins who can leave, and Brow who already hates the franchise
Can break Deng's contract into 2 separate deals, possibly 3. Which is much easier to stretch or trade to create space.

Trading for a bunch of "stars" that aren't true difference makers so we can be the Clippers and finish behind the Warriors year after year, naw.

Build it, right. Trading for Melo, PG, Jimmy, etc changes NOTHING about the franchise other than winning an extra 20 games and getting blowed out in the first round.

Pass.

Just imagine Lawrence Tanter introducing a Laker All Star for the West team. Chills

Can't wait to see PG either resign in Indy next summer or go to another contender and then see if y'all still fee the same that if given the chance we shouldn't trade Julius and a pick for him.

LOL

Bunch of Danny Ainge's in here wanting to collect "assets" while passing on opportunities to get the jimmy butlers of the world :{

People keep assuming that stars are going to just want to come to the Lakers even if they are terrible.

people talking about golden state owns the west for the next what ever # of years no need to bring anybody in ....smh I want the lakers to try to compete with them no matter what if that means trading Dlo randle I don't care DO IT ROB!

They're content with MAYBE being a 8 seed with this core who's shown no ability to even get close.

So we should break up our core for a star who made it in the eastern playoffs on the last day by the skin of his teeth?

We're not getting anything major for Julius + a pick.

Any real trade scenario is gonna involve Ingram and our pick this offseason if we keep it

And if **** doesn't go as planned he could easily just leave elsewhere if he was traded here.

Makes zero sense from a business standpoint to gut your team for someone you can add :lol

The only players they should be focused on trading is Deng and Moz

Why would he stay in Indy tho? That would mean their FO made moves to improve the team and didn't trade him. Why would he leave Indy tho? That would mean he left a team better than us to play for an even better team, meaning he would have left the Lakers anyway

Larry Bird is gonna trade Paul George for just Randle and a pick? Thas it? :lol

If the other option is losing him for nothing what do you think he's going to do? Did you not see what Boogie got traded for?

Larry is not gonna get bent over by the Lakers, come on.

If we called with just Randle and a pick, you don't think another team could beat that offer? Larry would just accept it and be cool?

Pacers are already going to get less value for PG since he's a FA.

However, I would offer Julius, Clarkson, and that late first rounder for PG.

I'm not about collecting assets just to collect them.

I'm about making the right trade.

Trading for him right now at this point makes more sense. If the right deal comes at the deadline for him, make it.

But it if there really is some truth to him wanting to play here after his deal is up, you pray you get this pick, to draft the right guy, Improve more (We improved 9 games this season. If we improve another 9 games next year we would have 35 wins) and bring him in free agency.

I feel boston should have made a move with all the assets they had.

We don't even come close to the assets they have and we want to make moves?

Just doesn't make sense.

Boston can offer a more realistic package in attaining Paul George if they really want him and they would be in win now mode.

Larry isn't trading him to LA for someone who's own fanbase deems him trash.

It's just not realistic
