Teams wouldn't have to give up many genuine assets to acquire Bradley Beal. We could put a package of Beasley, Bamba and spare parts to get him if we wanted him.

The issue is Beal has arguably the worst contract in the league now because not only is he an injury prone player who is owed $200M over the next 4 years, he has a no trade clause which will make it difficult to move him once you acquire him. On top of that, the new CBA makes it even more prohibitive to have max level salaries. If you're paying a player $50M he better be playing at an all NBA level.

The tough part for the teams who might actually want him will be finding salary to match deals $50M.
