He will never be a 4Random question:
What position will Brandon Ingram excel at?
I think he's a 4 and he won't be able to reach his potential until he bulks and plays small ball 4 for the majority of the game.
Paul George coming in 2018 so I hope BI will be big enough to bang at 4 by then, cuz you know Paul George won't wanna do it. Also, I've seen some people suggest Ingram @ the 2... that's ridiculous. He might be able to eventually guard 1-4, but using Ingram as a 1 or a 2 is a waste (I assume they did it last year cuz how weak he was).
I honestly dont know that Ingram will ever gain enough weight to play the 4. He would have to gain at least 30 pounds of muscle to to be an undersized 4 and I dont think that will ever happen. Some of these guys are just never able to put on weight and I think Brandon Ingram is going to be that type of person.Random question:

KD also weighs 230-240. Brandon ingram weights 190. Ingram needs to gain a significant amount of weight to not be a matchstick on the defensive end.If we go with any small ball lineups PG would be playing 4 over Ingram.
I'm probably going to catch some heat for this but I wouldn't be opposed to a updated jersey style by Nike.
New Laker era, new Lakers jerseys.
not to mention the impact it will put on his joints from basically tying two extra cinder blocks worth of weight to his frame. 10 pounds a year would probably be best case scenario.BI gaining 30-40 lbs would dramatically change his game for the worse
Dawg Jabari is 250 lbs wth u talking aboutI also feel like BI will struggle putting on the weight but PG is not a 4. PG doesn't wanna bang with any 4s in the league, he's said as much. And for the Lakers to reap the benefits of Luke's system, they'll need to be fast paced and excel at small ball.
In general, I assume BI/PG will be able to interchange 3/4 just like Lonzo/Dlo will interchange at the 1/2. I just feel like BI can never reach his potential masquerading as a 2/3. He needs to be a 4 so he can truly succeed like Jabari Parker for example
Exactly. At best he may have the body to safely play the 4 in 5 or so years. It's definitely going to be an extremely time consuming process and the kid is going to have to stick with it.KD just recently started playing the 4-5 in the past couple seasons. This is a long term proposal for BI
