Maybe I’m in the minority of Lakers fans but I don’t care about last season anymore. I didn’t need to take shots at RW after he was traded, don’t need to take shots at Ham now that he’s gone. Really don’t care about any former Laker player that’s been cut, traded, or guys that’s shoulda/coulda/woulda been drafted instead of player X.
The only thing that matters to me is the guys on the current roster.
But I read the article that was posted, so I have thoughts… and mostly it just seems like a typical clickbait reach.
For example:
The Lakers look like they are still going to play more drop defense, because AD is the only starter really capable of defending the paint and they shouldn’t want him switching out on the perimeter. I believe JJ even said he wants to be a 1-4 switching team, meaning AD will be in drop once again. So if he wasn’t a fan of that under Ham, he shouldn’t be a fan of it under JJ.
Also Ham wasn’t the first guy, nor will he be the last to try and limit LeBron’s minutes. I seriously doubt that’s an individual thing and more of a collective decision being made by the coaching and medical staff minimum, and maybe even some of guys upstairs.
And another example:
I don’t recall too many players coming out and making statements about their fired coaches. For one I think the optics look bad for the new guy coming in, and secondly what exactly is there to say? Coach you got a raw deal, you’re not the reason we lost it was on us.
sure…
Think I might just have to change my sn from grittyman to grumpyman. The more I read stuff like this the more it just annoys me man. I understand there are valid criticisms from previous seasons, but don’t insult our intelligence with nonsense.
