That reminds me of a game where we were up 20-something but this kid who hadn't scored all season had 15 at the half. 5 threes.
Coach walked right into the locker room, threw his clipboard down and was like, "How the ffffff does he have five 3s? Hasn't scored all season but he plays you morons and he's JJ f-ing Reddick?"
(This was when JJ was at Duke.)
Buddy played 2 minutes in the 2nd half.
Started the 2nd half and immediately got stripped then stole from on back-to-back possessions.
Sat down, came back in after like 10 minutes and my dude Akeem snatched buddy's only 3 point attempt in the 2nd half, but Akeem landed out of bounds.
Kid went to the bench for the rest of the game.
I'll never forget that halftime.
Up 20 but coach called us morons because Urkel had 15.

Crazy how these dudes quit by third quarter. Like just not going to try anymore... Miami starting Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro who SUCK defensively, but they at least TRY. Lakers suck and don't try, they ain't going to beat anyone. This was a terrible showing

That Rui DLo switch was a microcosm of their problems.

DLo switches on Rui’s man. No issue so far.
AD sees an open roll man and for whatever reason decides to guard Bam at the 3 rather than go toward the hoop with the wide open guy underneath the basket.
DLo sees Rui in a defensive position guarding nobody at all so DLo hilariously backs off the ball to catch up to the open guy under the hoop that either Rui or AD should have gone after. But DLo still looks ridiculous leaving the ball open. Pass made to the guy under the hoop. 3.5 people collapse to it (Bron couldn’t have been bothered than make an effort more than one step in the direction). AD finally comes down to the rim. They leave 2 guys open. Pass out. Swing. Rui still not paying attention.

Hit an open 3.



That’s not even personnel problems. That’s just 5 guys not giving a **** to communicate.

Defense would probably be a whole 2-3 points better per game if they just talked to each other. Won’t be 04 Pistons, but it would be average. That goes from AD down to Gabe.
