Few things looking at the highlights
1. We need a gif of the Bench reaction of Ingram's 3 at around 11 minutes... Julius
2. Luke seems like a really good player's coach... Whether he's a good coach is a different thing entirely, but the players will want to play for him.
3. 2 things DLo is going to be elite at.... Coming off the high screen, and probing down the lane, keeping his defender at his hip / behind him.... And in the post.
Want him to really press the defense.. If he puts pressure on them, everything else develops beautifully.. If he's passive, no one else on the floot is capable of getting the offense moving.
4. I'm hoping Tarik can be what we wish Jordan Hill would be. An energy guy, who cleans up the glass, and can get a handful of easy points off a P&R, and on putbacks... Why Jordan Hill could never be more than JUST an energy guy was piss poor defense, and this is where you need Tarik to be infinitely better than Jordan was. Hoping Tarik physicality and hustle bring him to a good defender, despite being undersized at the 5.
5. Julius bringing the ball up court on a break is beautiful.. Where he struggles in the half court by catching, thinking, and then making a decision because by the time he makes a decision everything is congested in the lane, he doesn't have that issue on a break because everything is allowed to develop. And his passing vision when he wants to use it is good for a 4
(not so much in the half court is really great, that's where a lot of the frustration of his play comes from... He won't get Draymond numbers in assists he's really unprecedented and plays on a team where guys never miss, but he certainly could be like Paul Milsap who was # 2 among PFs in assists last year, and has consistently been in the Top 4 among PFs every year before that)
