a majority of nba front offices are run by idiots
You'd think they'd learn, though. Isn't analytics the new NBA thing? Should be able to look at the numbers and realize there's usually a reason these dudes ain't putting up numbers on good teams.

for a lot of teams its not about if there are better options, they can market a guy like nick swaggy p young. if a team thinks a player is exciting enough to put people in seats they will over pay for him even if there are cheaper options basketball wise

nick young is bootleg jr smith without the offcourt antics

at first i thought you guys were kidding and this was some kind of joke like lord steve blake but some of you are serious about nick young?

if you want to build a winning team you stay far away from a player like nick young.

hell if young comes back we midas whale sign melo, re sign pau, and become new york knicks west...

who said i was serious? :rollin take a chill pill dude

you sure were serious when dudes was making fun of kobe when he got injured and you were crying for them to get banned huh?

you originally stated in your post you hope drose never comes back the same.

wouldnt it be some **** if your idol kobe never came back the same huh?

Every time I look at this bench & role players, out of all the years to have them, it's gotta be this year. :{

Farmar, Marshall, Young, Kelly, Sacre should all be definites back.

Then leaves you with Meeks, Henry, Johnson, Hill

All 4 I'd love to keep. But we know that isn't happening.

If you want to win a title, Meeks & Hill, both fill a distinct role for a contender. Meeks is your knockdown 3point shooter, also he is tailor fit to a rotation with Farmar & Young.

Hill is your hustle man, who will get out there and extend possessions, and has some coherent moves in the post. He can keep the energy up. 16-24minutes a night. Most of the NBA seems to know this as well, that he is never going to start, and if he does it will be limited minutes.

Then you make your move either the draft, or Free Agency, what is left is who you keep out of Henry & Johnson.

the front office was content with Artest going 1-12 and getting burned on defense for at least 2 seasons, same with fisher

they did nothing to improve the bench

they also kept guys that sucked major *** like ebanks and morris

Jim Buss and Kupchak

Depending on how he finishes the season and who's on the market this summer, I wouldn't mind re-signing Young to a fat one year contract (around $7-8 million).

Always remember, you can have one knucklehead on a team. But anything more, and you're asking for trouble.

I rather flip young to someone lokking to add a scorer.

Like what he's done for us, but he's not long term for me.

contending teams need a scorer like Nick coming off the bench...ginobili, jason terry, james harden, even jr smith counts. clips signed crawford for this reason

we've never really had a need for a backup scoring guard with Kobe playing a lot of minutes before, but now its different.  im not saying Nick Young is gonna replace Kobe, but theres no guarantee we're drafting/ signing a SG...unless we can finagle Klay thompson down here

to the notion of us becoming the knicks of the west

I'd like to man up (no pun intended) and apologize for laughing at those who suggested Swaggy Mamba might be the person to debut the Kobe 9's.

I really didn't think there was even the smallest chance Kobe would allow that... But I guess his relationship with Nick is closer than I thought :lol

Nick is officially gonna debut the IX's against the Heat on Thursday :eek :hat

In even bigger news, considering Bryant himself hasn’t even donned them yet on the court, Young will become the first player ever to wear Bryant’s newest signature shoe -- the boxing bootlike Kobe IX -- in an NBA game when the Lakers play the Miami Heat on Thursday, according to a league source.

Well damb.

This dude gone to bat for DFish ("If he leaves, I leave"), Pau (can't remember any specfic quotes, but he's done it), talked to Dwight about legacy and retired numbers and how he'll gladly hand him the torch, letting Swaggy debut his own damn shoe.

Iono... I've been steady rethinking that whole Shaq/Kobe thing for a minute.

I still feel the way I feel about the guy, but looking at how egomaniacal Shaq has been the past few years and seeing how Kobe has gone to bat for people and the whole 'Magic Mamba' thing...

Iono.

Of course, could also be that they were both equal *** holes to each other, but Kobe has learned from that after all these years, and Shaq has remained the same.
