if NY continues to put up the numbers he has by the end of the season, what would be his asking price?

if i remember correctly, he was traded from the wizards after coming off a career year in scoring to the clips where he saw limited minutes which brought his value down when he became a FA.

but..he still got 5 mil from philly. so after this year, at 17 ppg off the bench, what does his value look like?

His percentages show he's not a chucker

There's still time for you to edit.

.429 is good for a batting average, not a shooting percentage.

43% isn't that bad in the grand scheme, nor does it tell the whole tale.

hell, kobe is a career 45%.

you're just talking, but you aren't really saying anything.

I would look at True Shooting Percentage and Effective Field Goal Percentage over normal, out-dated Field Goal Percentage.

And since we're on Young, he's been average in both aspects this season.

Indeed. Kobe is 45%, and 5 rebounds and 5 assists a night and top level defense for a decade.

But hey, Nick can match the 43% part, right?

I'm just talkin tho. ;)

Isnt jamal crawford 33? Does he rely on athleticism? Is he part of the clipper core or a critical piece? Ill take NY at ages 29-32 in a proper role.

so when ska asked if an average shooting guard could win with prime shaq, nick young would be defined as the avg sg? 8o

Everyday that goes by, with every loss the Knicks experience, I for some reason believe
More and more Melo is really coming to LA.

First and foremost... No, I am not saying that is ideally what I want.

All I'm saying is, Melo looks DONE with NY. I mean... Absolutely over the team, the franchise, his teammates. His facial expressions, his frustration, his patience running thin... It's being projected more and more everyday.

I really do think dudes gonna leave that extra contract year on the table and take a 4 year deal with us.

Similar feeling I had to Dwight going to Houston.

Just seems to make too much sense for him especially with NY going no where in the near future.

in b4 TheRealFolkBlu3s goes on suicide alert over the thought of melo in purple and gold :lol

why would we want a jamal crawford on our team?

when has having a player like jamal crawford ever lead to team success

I guess I'm putting together the trend tho.

We have people unconcerned about getting a TOP pick, being in that 8-10 range is just fine.

No prob with a soon to be 29 year old shooter only, we can keep him for 2-3-4 years.

Have no interest in Kevin Love or Kyle Lowry, but Melo or someone else like him, ok.

We're cool with picking up former scrap heap lottery picks and making them "better" than they were, but not good enough to actually compete.

We seem to be trending towards building a tremendous 44 win a season team. Do some of you realize this?

I'm not being a ****, I'm asking you to look at everything that has been said in here this year. Cheering dumb wins, not caring about a top 3-4 pick, being ok with a 9th pick. Some rooting for Melo to come aboard, arguing over the fact that Kevin Love is indeed one of the NBA's best players, now propping up the virtue of a does one thing and one thing only Nick Young.

That's an average basketball team in 2 years guys.

I thought we all demand the best. THE BEST, not these average pieces.

What are we doin here guys? :\

I thought we wanna be great.

Damn, you beat me by 43 seconds. :lol

CP you should start a blog, a podcast, and a clothing line. It would generate massive ratings, IMO.

Call it "CP's Take."

The headline would be "Disagree? Idiot."

Well this is just shooting.

He's probably below average in other facets, though his defensive ratings are pretty good this season.

:lol ain't nobody gonna listen to me man. My own fanbases hate me cuz I don't follow the sheep. :lol

And I already have a Dolphins website to keep me busy. ;)

If we get Melo does that mean no Love in 2015?

Correct.

If they didn't give Kobe 48 mil it would have been possible, now it's not. 'less Love takes about 3 million his first year. (that's a no)
if only there was a way to get superstar players for really really cheep 8o

Yeah, we wait til the Bobcats cut one of their lame lottery picks, and we sign that guy to carry us over the top.

Just need 8 or 9 of those and we'd be a solid #8 seed every year. :hat

P, you read that stuff with Simmons this week? Unbelievable story, but really sad how it went down.
