Also, moral victories:

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers' ratings on Time Warner Cable SportsNet have fallen 37½% for the fisrt half of the season compared to 2012-13. That means the games are averaging a 2.72 rating compared to a 4.35 which was the team's first season on TWCSN.

But even with the ratings slippage, the Lakers can take some solace that their games still beat the Clippers on Fox Sports Net Prime Ticket. The Clippers are averaging a 1.28 and that's down from last season as well.
:smokin

After December this team has been unwatchable from an entertainment standpoint. And yet they are still beating the Clips ratings. :smokin

Mike Smith is annoying. It got worse when they got CP3. I used to watch them a lot when the Lakers are not playing.

I would do that Pau - Phx trade. Maybe Portland might want Steve Blake back

We probably could've guessed this, but:
Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan 1m

Main reason Lakers + Suns haven't agreed on Gasol trade: Lakers want better draft pick than Suns' current position (17th overall).

I understand Mitch tryin to max his value, but just take any pick and be done with it.

The Suns are not lookin to help an in division rival pull two top 15ish picks for the next decade. Take the Indy pick, and maybe BEG for our 2015 pick back as a form of "value" for Pau, rather than demanding more than the 17th pick. (which Mitch is probably trying to sell the Suns as a 20-21 type pick if the Suns make a run late)

Don't waste time, flip Pau while you can still get a damn pick for him.

what picks do the suns have?

i saw this:

2014 first round draft pick from Minnesota
Minnesota's 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-13 in 2014, 1-12 in 2015 or 1-12 in 2016; if Minnesota has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Phoenix by 2016, then Minnesota will instead convey its 2016 2nd round pick and 2017 2nd round pick to Phoenix [Minnesota-New Orleans-Phoenix, 7/27/2012]

2014 first round draft pick from Washington
Washington's 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-12 in 2014, 1-10 in 2015, 1-10 in 2016, 1-10 in 2017, 1-10 in 2018 or 1-10 in 2019 or unprotected in 2020 [Phoenix-Washington, 10/25/2013]

2014 first round draft pick from Indiana
Indiana's 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-14 in 2014, 1-14 in 2015, 1-14 in 2016, 1-14 in 2017, 1-14 in 2018 or 1-14 in 2019 or unprotected in 2020 [Indiana-Phoenix, 7/28/2013]

and they have their own?

pau for okafor + suns 1st and wizard's or indiana's 1st, IMO. or get back our 1st round pick next year.

so we end up with our pick and maybe 2 more selections. probably around 24 (their own) and 17 (wizards) or 29/30 (indiana)

I agree CP.

This ain't the time to try to play hard ball.

If the Suns are really offering ANY 1st round pick...

TAKE IT AND RUN.

Don't screw it up Mitch...

Come on, why would they give up 2 first round picks this year for Pau?

Like I said, the late Indy + us BEGGING to get ours back next year is a stretch even, no way on earth they should give us theirs + Indy's this year. Not with this draft class.

At least by them knowing we get a top 5ish pick + Kobe + whatever FA, they might think our pick next year won't be worth the hassle and kick it back to us, but even that might be askin too much.

right now they have 9-10 people on their roster for next season, they can't keep all of these draft selections AND go after 1 or 2 free agents. the suns will probably end up selling some of these picks for cash at the draft.

if anything, throw in a 2nd to swap for a first.

maybe now TW will finally let loose on let dish up on the twsports channel.

never got around to switching providers since i just stream the laker games online.

even without the laker channel im still not interested in clipper games, ill catch a few minutes then catch myself snoozing only to be woken up by a "bingo, reddit with a 3"...btw that dude has been cooking.

Mitch wants the Wizards pick instead of the Suns pick because trading Pau to Suns will make the pick much worse because Suns will win games.

The Suns are willing to give their pick.

is there that much difference in suns pick vs wizards both are .500 + teams?

difference as in why wouldnt the suns give up their wizards pick.

I swear if Mitch and co. overvalue Pau to the point that this deal doesn't go through...

i feel like mitch is going to end up overvaluing pau and end up 0/2
tired.gif

just trade him for soda for the locker room and be done with it

Do you guys think the Heat will give up their 1st round pick for Jordan Hill? Or any other contender for that matter? The pick will be late first round.
