LAS VEGAS

I will vouch for the $20 trick. It has worked 5 out of the 6 times I've used it. Sometimes you won't get a room upgrade like when I stayed at the Bellagio over new years, but they did give me 2 free vouchers for the buffet which is like $50 for 2 people, so even then I consider it a win for me. I figure I'm going there to gamble anyways so I see it as my first $20 bet of the weekend. Sometimes you double up, but you risk losing it. No biggie. Even the time it didn't work I let the person keep it because it seemed like she tried for about 15 minutes typing away, it was mainly her boss her shut her down.

Best win was a regular old room in Ceaser's that I got upgraded to a new updated suite with a view of the fountains outside the Bellagio. I looked it up later, that room was about $250 a night more lol. I usually tell the person checking me in that me and the wife are newly-weds on our honeymoon, they eat it up.

The time of year is also a factor. That upgrade at Ceaser's was in the middle of January when Vegas is usually dead.

heading to Vegas mid April. Im staying at Treasure Island in the "deluxe" suite if i remember correctly. anyone have any experience here?

heading to vegas from this Thursday until Monday. I got a suite at ENCORE and two southwest plane tickets for 800.00 for the 4 nights. We got 2 other people meeting us from the LA area. so 4 people for that price, I think i got a great deal

Was gonna go to Vegas today with my Bro in law, but decided to go next month for my 25th bday.

Told them about the $20 check-in trick, and we already get FREE standard rooms at the Caesars Palace

but they just checked in right now and asked if they had any complimentary upgrades and the dude said let me check ... hooked them up with a room double the size of the standard in the new towers and slipped him the $20

Cinco... that looks like a room in either the Augustus Tower or the Palace Tower.

When I was staying at Caesars, there wasn't any other tower I'd stay in than Augustus.

that's what they only play the majority of the time at XS/Tryst/Drais. all of these clubs are owned by Victor Drais and he only likes trance/house music...

they usually comp me those rooms. The bathroom is really nice as well. Just letting you know if you didn't already, those little gift things on the dresser by the tv, don't move them at all. They have sensors on the bottom. Even if you pick them up, the computer thinks you took them and will charge your card.

Not a trick really. You simply walk up to the check-in counter with your ID and credit card already out, then before you hand it to the worker, you fold up a $20 in between them making a sandwich with it. You leave it poking out just a little bit so they can see it when you hand it to them and you simply ask them, "Are there any complimentary upgrades you can give us?". The thing has about a 75% success rate from my friends and my experience.

The worker usually takes the bill, hides it somewhere, and starts typing away until they have you in a room better than the one you registered for.

My cousin just sent me pics of his suite at Caesars Palace. Only reserved for royalty, 24 hour butler, every shower turns into a steam room, whirpool, pool room, golf simulator room, etc.

Needless to say, this makes the Skyloft I stayed at last year look like a hostel.

I'm trying to go out to Vegas for my 21st bday on thanksgiving break November this year..
Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay at, and what are the top clubs to go to?
This will be my first time of legal age in Vegas I have been there twice before and stayed at the MGM and Bellagio.
Some recommendations I've heard were the Vdara and the Aria..

this thread is getting me pumped for my trip! anyone have some tips for a guy with 0 gambling experience. Places to warm up at, places to stay away from. Also any tips on catching some entertainment for the low low!!

If you play blackjack you can ask the dealer what the proper play is on any hand. Most of the time they will tell you what to do.

I need to look into booking again either early or late summer.
