It all depends on the restrauant if they had the gratuity depending on the party. Some restraunts its 6 8 or I've been to one where it was 10 people

Are there really honestly people arguing that it's ok for a multi hundred millionaire to leave a ten dollar tip on an 800 dollar bill? People are really backing this?
There are poor people out there that lave ten dollar tips on 40 dollars bills, and you think what Bron did was ok?
You people need to look in a mirror.

I'm more arguing the sense of entitlement and idea that I'm supposed to automatically give you a tip for doing your job, and supposed to even futhermore feel some extra obligation because you might be paying your way through school or something. Hell, I do mostly IT work and run Audio/visual equipment for parties and shindigs, I wish somebody would leave me a tip but somehow it falls outside of the realm of jobs where you can expect extra rewards for doing what is already in the job description.
Sounds like you know nothing about being in service. Some people have careers in being a waiter/waitress because you can make very good money. My boy works in a vegas casino and does 6 figures a yr just waiting on people.
LoL then quit *****ing. The tip you get is going to be commensurate with the service you provide. I just can't justify paying you an extra 40$to hand me food and drinks you didn't even make, like that's some great thing you did I couldn't do myself. Hell, ideally the cooks would get allthe tips. All your waitress does is grab it from the window and bring it to you, which sometimes is not even a great distance and write down your order tobring to them.
Hell, I've had a waitress give me the wrong price by almost 7$ on something then try to bring me the bill and not say anything like I wouldn't notice, then got the nerve to act all surprised and indignant when I didn't break her off huge on the tip. %+$%%, your tip is locked up in the difference betweenwhat you told me it was and what it turned out to be.
Yea, because im sure you make $4.15 an hour doing thatIts not the waitstaffs decision to be paid crap on the hour and rely on gratuities.
Actually it is. Guns to their head forcing them into waitering? I think not.
If you have 100 million dollars, drop a couple 20's where need be. Ok? You keep thinking like a dude who makes regular money. You don't eatfor 800 dollars do you? You drive a volvo right? Normal folk. With normal folk tips etc. Bron ain't normal. If he wanna leave ten dollar tips, thenmake 30 G a year and be happy. Otherwise, do the right thing. Is it really gonna hurt him to leave a 50 on the table? Would that 50 really really help outthe person who served him? That's the point, not the expectations, the right and the wrong.Originally Posted by DatZNasty

Fine, ill just go tell everyone whos "waitering" to go get better jobs... and you can serve yourself from now on.
you know nothing about what youre talking about, TRUST me.
FYI Servers split their tips with the cooks, busboys, and the bartenders.Originally Posted by DatZNasty

Damn some of you sound completely uneducated and seem to be proud of it.
This thread has become a joke.

And I'd actually prefer to walk to the damn soda machine and fill my own drink frankly, especially since all you salty #%%@!%@$!$@@# are bragging abouttampering with them. What did I say that was wrong anyways? It's all subjective, and that's my point. You don't automatically get 20% Earnit. There's so much missing from this story. Maybe she wasn't very friendly. Maybe the food sucked. Maybe the service sucked. Maybe she was slow. Maybeshe kept getting orders wrong.
Hell, I've had a job that was tip only, and not even @+$%++ sub minimum wage + whatever tips. Naturally, people don't always tip that nicely, since they're already paying for the tree. I had to quit that with a quickness. It was selling Christmas trees. People would go to the Commissary too thenwalk over to the lot and buy a tree so I had to carry them %#$+% like a 3/4 mile then tie it to the top of their car and **%+.

you should just stop, seriously. you clearly do not know what it takes to work in the hotel/restaurant/services industry..you probably haven't evenworked a day job in your life for that matter.
whether it's the guy down the street or LeBron James, it's wrong.
When I worked valet a couple of years ago, this jerk stayed at the hotel for several weeks and treated all of the workers like garbage..as opposed to theothers, I wasn't the type to lose my cool over something minimal..until he threw in some racist nonsense when he was checking out..that and this story islike a slap in the face..yhen one of my co-workers put a massive dent in his car..idiot got what he deserved

Just got back from work actually. I was providing a service to some senior citizens, who again, didn't tip me.Yesterday, I had to serve the Library 4new Linksys's, provide the servicing of configuring and installing them, the service of fixing the 6 computers that weren't communicating with thebluetooth printers, served them 4 new printers and provided the service of setting them up, tonight's shindig I had to provide the service of making theirpresentations play through the audio system and on the projectors up and downstairs, as well as semi Djing playing the oldies while their old @!#$+ ate andtried to dance. Next time I do one I'm going to ask somebody for a gratuity. I'm paying my way through college too, actually graduate tomorrow but Istill have college related bills I need to pay.
Better yet, next time I don't get tipped, I'm going to turn the system on fullblast and shatter everybody else's eardrums while I have on my noisecancelling headphones. That serves them right for not tipping me. Better yet, I'll just ding their cars on the way out with the company car. That'sjustice. And they even serve food at most of these shindigs, I'll go spit in that too!
