Saw the Aways in person today. That Candy Apple/Metallic Red is SICKKKKK! I was at Nike Lenox yesterday and saw a red on red iD pair, I def wanna iD an all red pair.

I agree on the AvM to Cannon comparison not being spot on based on the pics I used in the post but then again every new pic that comes out of the AvM's the sneaker looks different lol

I don't know what the meaning is behind the cannons concept but the AVMs do seem to be inspired by them.

Dude this was me to the exact with the clear soles, my best friend who is also just as deep into sneakers as me has changed me somewhat though after the endlessly repetitive "let it go, the clear sole makes it" sort of advice/preaching lol.. I can't be a hypocrite cuz I still feel that way but mostly only with Jordan's (retros I don't buy anymore anyways, the Jordan game has sucked since '06 IMO) but ESP with non-Jordan newer sneakers just enjoy them and embrace the yellowing.. If ya just can't do it I understand cuz I'm unbelievably picky with my pairs too but in some cases, not all, slight yellowing actually gives the sneaker character..
Anyways to make a recent example I passed on the pressure x for it's "glass clear" bottoms, not even smoked or tinted at all but super clear (nasty yellowing) and looking back I wish I could've gotten over that and grabbed em..

There's a difference between two shoes LOOKING the same, and resembling each other, or reminding us of each other. I'd agree the Cannons don't LOOK like the AvM, but I definitely think they bear similarities and a subtle resemblance to each other. Of course, NT isn’t necessarily the best place to argue subtlety.

Dunkmans been using a different shade of green every year, no one calls that a stretch.
There have a been a ton of concord inspired shoes without the actual aspect behind why people call them concords.
Still no one says its a stretch.
My point is that it's not a stretch that a blue green and orangish Lebron reminds some people of the cannons.
I love the cannons and I'm not at all interested in the AVMs.
