Is shump gonna get more burn now? I hope woodson has him as a full time SG in which i believe is his real position. Hes more dynamic than fields in terms of offense, and we all know he plays better defense.

While Baron is a better passer (aside from all the stupid alley-oops/shovel passes he forces) I still want Lin to be the starter. Might as well continue with letting him learn on the fly. I rather get a young back-up PG, but that'll be hard with no draft pick.

Baron plays better with the starters..When he came to NY, his intentions were to succeed with the stars, not the bench guys. And during "Linsanity", Lin was playing great with the role players like Novak, Shump, Jared, etc.. So even though the national media would blame Melo for Lin being the backup PG, it would essentially be the best thing for this team.

You aint alone. I was never completely comfortable that he was an all around complete pg. He was scoring a lot when we needed it since Melo and STAT were out but he was never racking up assists like a Rondo or CP3 as part as the Linsanity.
I think it was like one game he made a career high with like 12 or 13 assists. A lot of his game looked like a poor man's Rose or AI where he gets his buckets on penetration and when he's not doing that penetrating and dishing in the paint. Although he has a shot still doesn't believe in it all the time. He is not a great passer by any means but is a good enough decision maker.

The world is against Melo at this point. The media will just pin him as the Dantoni/Lin killer and the overwhelming amount of NYK fans that swooped in just to support a decent Asian player will be feeling salty if Lin isn't as productive with this new coach and will also blame that on Melo.
He just needs to play his game and help out the team.

Its not even about Melo being a "coach killer", #$## I dont even care if he's not shooting the ball effectively, my biggest gripe is the effort I see on the court from Melo and others at times. I dislike seeing the best players on the team not leading by example, effort is never consistently there, and they want to cry about not getting enough shots? Play a complete game and win some ball games, do the little things that count, its not just about scoring....lead your team.
