Just read that NC State QB Russell Wilson's father passed away. So sad to hear. RIP.

- The SEC only wants to expand to 14 teams, not 16.
- ESPN has told Mike Slive, should the SEC expand, what they would need to do is NOT expand it's footprint but simply add powerhouse programs to create even more exciting games each week for NATIONALLY BROADCAST games.
- The STRATEGY behind the move of FSU & Clemson is that by taking these two programs it would VOID the ACC's current new deal. Without FSU and Clemson the ACC COULD NOT get another deal worth as much. The SEC would siphon money away from the ACC's contract (a considerable amount) and add it to theirs.
- It may come down to Clemson or VT. That's still being talked about behind closed doors. Clemson appears to have a good lead on VT though due it's old rivalry with UGA and most feel Clemson has an "SEC feel" to it and is a more natural choice. But, FSU is pretty much a lock as the SEC's #1 target.
- UF isn't/won't try to block this expansion.
When all is said and done look for 7 sixteen team super conferences and one 9 team conference.
Big10+6: OSU, Mich. St., Michigan, Penn St., Minnesota, Iowa, Purdue,Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Indiana, Rutgers, Syrcause,Missouri, Nebraska & Notre Dame.
ACC: Boston College, UConn,Pittsburgh, Cincy, Maryland, West Virginia, UVA, Va Tech, Memphis, UNC,Duke, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Louisville, South Florida and Temple.
SEC:Clemson, Florida, FSU, Tennessee, Ga tech, Alabama, Kentucky,Mississippi, Mississippi St., Arkansas, Miami, Georgia, Vandy, Auburn,So.Carolina and LSU.
Big XVI: Kansas, K-State, Iowa state, BosieState, TCU, Utah, BYU, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado State, Air Force,Houston, Rice, SMU & Tulsa.
PAC 10 plus Six: Oklahoma,Texas, Oklahoma state, USC, Colorado, UCLA, Stanford, Zona, Wash.State,Washington, Oregon state, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Arizonia State,Cal and Oregon.
Conference USA: Marshall, East Carolina, MiddleTennessee, Western kentucky, UAB, Southerm Miss, Central Florida, UTEP,Tulane, LA Tech, North Texas, New Mexico State, Utah State, ArkansasState, Florida Atlantic and Troy.
MAC: Ohio, Akron, Kent, Miami,Toledo, Buffalo, N.Illinois, Ball State, Bowling Green, E.Michigan,C.Michigan, W.Michigan, Army, Navy, FIU and LA-Monroe.
9 team conference...

Theneventually a 16 team play-off consisting of the top 2 teams from eachof the 16 team conferences plus the champion of the 9 team conferenceand 1 at-large bid.

Post season ban = less pressure to play seniority over the youngsters since you can't go to a bowl anyways (USC tends to ignore seniority anyways "The best player plays" , but now they have even more reason to do so) = More P.T. for Dillion and Kyle (and the other frosh) = By the time they are Jr's they are gonna be $#@*!%$ RAW.
FSU commitment Eric Beverly tore his ACL and will miss his Sr. Season.

Where did you get both of those pieces of info?
1. The SEC is being awfully quiet in all this. Various media reports say Nebraska to the Big Ten is done and will be announced on Friday. There are also reports out there that very quietly, Mike Slive and his folks at the SEC could still invite Texas and Texas A&M if the Big 12 breaks up. Would Oklahoma and Oklahoma State come along? Yes, I know about the Pac-10 offer to the six Big 12 teams (Texas, A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado). But as one official put it to me yesterday: Do you think DeLoss Dodds (the Texas athletics director) would rather send his women’s softball team to Pullman, Washington (home of Pac-10 member Washington State) or Tuscaloosa, Ala? I know all about the academic arguments in favor of the Pac-10. I’ll believe it when I see it.
People keep telling me that the SEC should do nothing. But if the Pac-10 and the Big Ten both go to 16 teams, can the SEC stay with a pat hand?
There is absolutely nothing coming out of the SEC on this. This is as locked down as I’ve ever seen them. That should make some people nervous because Slive is one of those “speak softly and carry a big stick
