LOCK IT UP - College Football - 2009 Season/2010 Off-Season

if players took stuff, they should be suspended, end of story.

That Blake article is interesting.......whats also interesting is that over half of UNC's projected NFL players were not brought in by Butch/Blake anyway.

Wait, really?  Over half?  I thought the only kids that are on the roster that aren't Butch's recruits are RS SRs.

Big Four Rivals, Featured, Miscellaneous & Fun Stuff

SFNNote: We proudly welcome ‘Old MacDonald’ to the SFN author team withthis entry. His first one is destined to become an SFN classic!

The team at StateFansNation thought it would be nice to take a breakfrom the stress of wondering how UNC-CH will skate from major NCAAsanctions and sit back and enjoy the pure comedic value of thelarger-then-life cartoon figure that is, Marvin Austin.

Just so I can get this out of the way – I personally DO NOT CAREwhat the NCAA and/or UNC-CH do about this stuff.  ‘MA’ hasalready succeeded so well in making such an !@# of himself – and, served to indict UNC-CH’s “Public Ivy

Quan Sturdivant, Bruce Carter, and Kendric Burney were all Bunting recruits.

Marvin Austin and Greg Little were Butch's.

kinda crazy how they took the time to find all this...college athletes need to stay away from social networks...or at least chill on what they post/say

I'll be interested to hear what Butch has to say at the Pigskin Preview and ACC Media day. However, I have a feeling it might be no comment.

Sources who have talked to team members have said that Greg is in the clear and Marvin is the only player in question now. He sure gave the NCAA enough evidence through twitter to warrant the questioning though. I think he winds up getting suspended for a good bit of the season and nothing ("death penalty"/sanctions) will happen to our football program.

Kyle Parker is returning to Clemson but theirs a rumors that it's a because he's playing a game of cat & mouse with the Rockies organization.

Thank you, Kyle Parker, for keeping the Atlantic Division race a little more interesting this fall.

That’s not a knock on backup Tajh Boyd – who knows what Boyd might have been capable of if given the opportunity to lead the Tigers this fall. Instead, it’s a vote of confidence in a player who has already proven himself to be one of the rising star quarterbacks in the ACC.

Parker’s surprising decision to return will not only give a boost to a team in need of offensive experience after losing veteran stars C.J. Spiller and Jacoby Ford, it will also inject some competition into an otherwise mediocre division that’s banking on Florida State making a comeback in order for anyone outside the league to consider it relevant.

Without Parker, the Atlantic Division would have looked a lot like a two-way race between unheralded Boston College and Florida State. Now, the ACC could sneak a sixth team into the polls at some point this fall if everything comes together for the Tigers. Yes, Clemson’s offense has to replace a lot of production lost with the graduation of Spiller and Ford, but with Parker in the lineup, the talent is in place -- particularly at running back -- for the Tigers to defend their Atlantic Division title.

Of course, all of that depends on Parker sticking with his decision.

He has until Aug. 15 to change his mind, and that would be disastrous -- not to mention unfair -- to Parker’s teammates and coach Dabo Swinney. Parker has reportedly demanded a $3 million signing bonus, and it’s possible the Rockies could still deliver. He has also left open the option of playing football in the fall and joining the Rockies in the summer, much like NC State quarterback Russell Wilson has done. Regardless, odds are Parker just turned down a lofty chunk of change to come back to Clemson.

It’s unusual, but it’s not unprecedented. ESPN baseball analyst Keith Law said in each of the past two years, there were two first-round picks who did not sign. They’re usually high school players, Law said, but not always. Law guessed Parker turned down at least $1 million, possibly $2 million spread out over the course of five years. Parker has leverage right now, and Law said he should use it.

“My immediate reaction is this is not over,

I thought UNC had like 8 2011 NFL prospects, all 1st day picks too.  Funny how that changed...

EDIT: What about Robert Quinn?  Charles Brown.  Sturdivant was 2007.
