Lock please, thanks. Warriors 2011/2012 Thread Up.

Get rid of Biedrins, get a veteran center and pick up a couple of role players here and there. Guaranteed +10 more wins than last year.

I think I told this to acid, but it's easy to deal in the abstract. What role players? What veteran center (Nazr Mohammed imo), and how do they get rid of Biedrins?

If Philly can take Biedrins with Monta then I'm all for it. As far as role players, i'd have to see who is available in the free agent market. I would like the W's to get Nick Collision but that's wishful thinking.

Philly isn't taking Biedrins unless the W's take back some of their bad contracts as well...which sucks, but it's the reality. Gotta hope one team still sees potential in him...or hope Mark Jackson lights a fire in him.

The only way we could possibly sucker a team into taking Lee or Biedrins off our team is if we packaged one of them with Curry. I dont see another way of dumping these two.

I don't even think son knows Biedrins is owed $36million or so.

At least be realistic when playing fantasy GM

If that happens, Mark Jackson would be coach of the year.

so don't count on it.

I like the idea of surrounding Jackson with top assistants. Are there any big name offensive-minded assistants out there? You really only hear about the defensive ones (Malone, Casey, Thibs).

I don't know if it's widely accepted, but I would rather have Curry than Monta even though at this present time Monta is a better player. We know what Monta is. Curry still has the potential to become a more valuable player. When Monta was hurt two years ago, we saw some of what Curry was capable of. Also, he's on his rookie contract still.

It seems to be.  I am in the minority.

I also think it's easier for the Warriors to trade Monta compared to Curry, even though Curry has more "value". With Curry you'll likely have to match salaries, which means taking on a bad contract like Biedrins'. And Monta's contract is actually pretty good considering his production.
