I wouldn't be fooled but I would like to see if GSW could get a culture of defense. I think with the trade that'd be a good start but without it they should focus on interior defense cuz that back court aint gonna cut it.

EDIT

WOW @ even comparing Granger to Monta.

I consider Monta for Iggy in this way

Monta.......Iggy

= Passing =

this whole post is ******ed.

Didn't tune in, what did he say?
He basically said the only way to be a championship team is on the defensive side of the ball & that there's going to be a commitment to defense ( I'm paraphrasing). Jackson spoke in extremely general terms though, so I wouldn't take too much of what he said to heart.

Got love for Monta but would trade him fer Iggy hella quick

How does his commentating translate to his coaching? No one has seen the man coach and he has defensive-minded coach in Mike Malone who will help a lot. Secondly, trading Monta for Iggy isn't fair IMO.

I think the warriors should consider these players when approaching free agency.

Big man to compete/compliment/replace Biedrins
Greg Oden ( so many unkowns)
Spencer Hawes (is he tough enough to compliment Lee?)
Samuel Dalembert (can we afford him? How much does he have left?)
Yao Ming (injury ???)
Tyson Chandler (prob too pricey)

Veteran/defensive SF (can to count on reggie williams to fill this need?)
Shane Battier (would be great to tie down second unit. might be too hard to sign)
Grant Hill (veteran presence)
Andrei Kirilenko (change of scenery might be good for his game)
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (defensive specialist)

What do you guys think? Who should we try to sign? Maybe we can address these needs in the draft??

I'm willing to bet they'll go after Yao for obvious reasons and maybe take a flyer on Oden.

I'd love Battier, but honestly no one you named besides the above would sign here.

So many random folks since Wale has posted in this thread. Haha.

I really don't know who the Warriors will go after during the off-season. I believe once the Finals are over and Jackson is finally given the keys to run the team, there you will find the type of team he'll be able to build, along with West, Riley, and Lacob's input. The Warriors definitely need a big-man who can score and play defense and they need to improve their bench big time.
