Desmond has always been my favorite. His character centric episodes were always good. His love story with Penny was well written too. Hopefully we'll finally know in the finale what Widmore wanted Desmond to sacrifice when he brought him back to the Island.
 
Sayid was always my favorite and my least favorite was Kate.

Favorite scene is probably the closing shot of season one when Jack and Locke opened the hatch.
 
This is what's going to happen...Everyone on the island is going to die but jack...However, in the alternate reality they all know what happened. Jack has access to that alternative reality from the island. This explains how jacob is able to get off of the island.

And also on the "Belief" theory, remember when Ben was able to get Cooper on the island and explained to Locke he could because of a magic box, but it was no real box it was the idea of one.
