We encountered an unforeseen week off...
But there's NEVER an off week when it comes to...
THE GAUNTLET!!!
Welcome back!!! We hope your September has been a successful one as we draw closer to the end of the first month in the 2015 NFL Season!!! We've already had upsets, blowouts, && thrilling nailbiters as the contention for early supremacy in the NFL is fully underway, && then some!!!
While we were away, Week 2 featured some statement wins, none greater than that by the Washington Rojoskins!!! They served notice to the rest of the league, && even us here at The Gauntlet, with a dominant 35-7 win over the AFC powerhouse Miami Dolphins at FedEx Field!!! We will be watching this team with a much more careful eye over the coming weeks...
The 49ers provided us with another upset, defeating the Rams, 9-7 in a low scoring slugfest!! However, their next meeting will look quite different for one of these teams...more on that in a moment...
Perennial AFC powers Kansas City && Pittsburgh also won in convincing fashion, shutting their opponents both down && out on the road!!! The Steelers walloped the Raiders, 31-0, while the reigning World Champions sliced through cheese all day in a brutal 48-0 throttling of the Packers!!!

Speaking of AFC powers && blowouts...
DOES IT GET MORE BRUTAL THAN WHAT CLEVELAND DID TO THE BRONCOS IN WEEK 3?????? :x :x :x :x :x :x
In a game that forced many a father to cover their collective sons' eyes, the Browns beat up, smacked down, && flat out embarrassed the Broncos in Denver, 49-13!!!
Tensions reached unseen heights in the Mile High Massacre, heights only topped by Johnny Manziel's passing numbers!!! However, it appears as though he will be suspended && fined for Week 4, a punishment which he has already said that he gladly accepts!!!
The Chicago Bears continued their strong start to 2015 with a quality win over the Niners in what was Colin Kaepernick's last game in red && gold!!! Yes, you read that right; a six-man trade between the 49ers && Ravens was confirmed, featuring a switch of coasts && time zones for Kaep && former Baltimore QB Joe Flacco!!!
For those of you with siblings...if you need a lesson in sharing, look no further than the Brothers Harbaugh for your blueprint!!!
Back to the action...
The undefeated Seahawks may prove to be Flacco's hardest test with his new club, as Seattle improved to 3-0 by defeating the Cardinals! Don't forget about the St. Louis Rams, however, who propelled themselves to a thrilling victory over reigning NFC Champ Minnesota thanks to some late game heroics!!!
And the Chargers fought valiantly for quite some time at Arrowhead, but the Chiefs pulled away in the 2nd half && haven't lost dating back to last season at Pittsburgh!!!
But, Week 3's wildest game may have taken place at Lucas Oil Stadium, where Cam Newton && Andrew Luck faced off for the very first time as the Panthers && Colts squared off in an inter conference battle of 1-1 teams with high expectations!!!

Through three games, The Cardiac Cats nickname appears to have resurrected itself in grand fashion, with the Panthers' three games having been decided by a total of 12 points!!

NE @ MIA : The Pats look to be back in classic Belichick/Brady form!!! Will it be enough to escape the 305 with a Thirsday Night victory over their division foe Dolphins???
SEA @ DAL : The LOB is back!!! 3-0 headed into JerryWorld where the Cowboys look to get back on track after two straight defeats!!! Who will prevail
CHI @ SD : The Bears && Chargers have shown us last week what each team is capable of, albeit in different results!!! What happens when they face each other out west???
ATL @ CAR : The Falcons may be the most surprising 2-1 team in the NFL!! They travel to Carolina to face fellow NFC South combatant, && fellow 2-1 Panthers!!! Who will momentarily stumble in the quest to knock off the Saints in the NFCS???
GOTW: KC @ CLE!!!
Classic defense against offense battle under the bright lights in Cleveland, as World Champion Kansas City continues their repeat bid against the surging Browns, fresh off posting a near-50-spot in Denver!!! Are the young, exciting Browns ready to take aim at the battle-tested Chiefs???? Stay tuned...
Because the table has been set!!!
The enemy lines have been drawn...
And some DAMB good football has been played!!! And it'll definitely only get better...
