they wouldn't of done that to street fighter, do why do it to such a loved game like marvel vs capcom?

Well first, Street Fighter's been around for 13 years. You think they're really gonna suddenly change everything after having the exact control scheme since 1987?
Second, Marvel vs. Capcom's fanbase isn't NEARLY as big as Street Fighter's. If Street Fighter did this, the ENTIRE fighting game community would literally riot.
Third, Marvel vs. Capcom has been completely different every time. The change wouldn't nearly be as big of an impact as Street Fighter, which as said, has been the exact same since 1987.
da VS series has been around for a LONG time aswell...i mean part 2 is a decade old...changing it to da wack system they got now is alienating da same people that kept part 2

relevant for so long.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter came out in 1996.

gameplay looks like a comic book coming to life. its nice

hopefully there will be more characters that you can unlock later on in the game.

NO STRIDER??!!!! im happy dante is in the game. i guess hes a good replacement.

LOL @ people complaining about the low character amount. In MvC2, about a third of the characters NEVER get picked when you play online, so as long as they make these ones balanced, this amount will be no problem.

 IMO.

It really seems that people want quantity over quality. Like someone mentioned earlier, in Mv2 they pretty much copied and pasted the character data from older Capcom games, some of them as old as 1994, SIX years before MvC2 was released. And it was the same graphics and everything. With this game they're starting from scratch, of course they can't have as many characters.

The rest will probably be available via download that's going to cost you and extra $35 by the time you finish downloading all the extra characters and costumes, and then they'll come out with a special edition a few months later with all the content and more content than what was on the previous version and sell it for $20 cheaper than what you paid for the original, but it's still a rip off, cuz essentially, you were supposed to get it with the original copy you already bought.

Downloadable content

In an interview, it was said that Marvel demanded that NO ONE from the Fantastic Four be in the game (Johnny, Sue, Ben or Reed) and low and behold this roster has Reed in it. FAKE
